They all walked out on the rooftop, overlooking Ketterdam. Kaz limped in front of the others. Once he reached the railing he whispered, "Brick by Brick."
The other stood beside him as the Crow Club exploded. Wylan looked away, not being able to look at what his concoction had done.
Jesper stared in shock. "What was that?"
"The crow Club." Inej answered, not taking her eyes off of the building. People screaming could be heard, even from their distance.
"I had some really nice hats in there." Jesper trembled. He turned to look at Wylan. "Was that yours?"
Wylan looked down, ashamed. Nina spoke up. "I take it we're now in the aftermath."
"This doesn't help us clear our name, Kaz." Inej pointed out. "This is war with Pekka Rollins. The king of the Barrel."
"The Barrel doesn't belong to kings." Kaz replied immediately. He turned and started to walk away. "It belongs to bastards."
