Chapter 24: Magic Fight!

The old lady growled at them before grasping the skull and sending a blast of indigo energy at them, sending them flying into the wall, where they hung there suspended.

"Kids these days, always in such a rush", The lady said with a raspy voice, she extended her hand outwards, when she did she floated over to the three of them.

"I take it your what they call a witch?", Lara asked, the witch spun around to look at her, she dashed over to Lara and held out her hand at Lara's face, Lara turned her head and closed her eyes in preperation.

"That is a very demeaning term, I have an actual name, and it is Endora", Endora said as she rubbed one of her claw like finger nails against her cheek.

"I'm sorry, Endora, may we please have the map and be on our way?", Lara asked politely.

"Well you see, im rather conflicted, I let you into my home, give you directions, a map, and even offer you someplace to wait through the night, and what do I get in return? You all try to rush out of here, steal my candies, and even call me names like witch", Endora ranted on with a patronizing tone.

"You weren't going to eat them, you cant fool us, those teeth cant do anything anymore, have you heard of this new fangled gadget called a toothbrush?", Marya said condescendingly, Endora heard this and flew over to Marya.

"This is what im talking about, you enter my humble abode and treat me with such disrespect, its lonely in these forests for an old lady like myself, I only wish for some company for but one night, is that too much?", Endora went on, pressing her nail into Marya's chin.

"Look, we would LOVE to stay and chat but we have something very urgent to attend to so we really must be going", Silvio explained, somehow visibly sweating even though he was covered in fur.

Endora glared at Silvio, but didn't bother to move over to him, she just casually strolled over to grab something from her shelves, when she turned away Silvio wrapped his tail around his wand inside his pocket, slowly pulling it out and moving it into his paw, he gripped his wand and began to chant a few words under his breath, as he did it began to glow brighter, he aimed it at her and was about to fire a at her, Endora spun around with her spear and shot a bolt of indigo energy at his paw, knocking the wand out of it.

"Nice try, but your not the first Felid I've dealt with, and you wont be the last as long as ignorant tourists keep coming here", Endora explained with a smile.

"So that's your game, lure in clueless tourists with the kind, elderly lady facade into your home, offer them a place to spend the night, and then take their stuff?", Marya asked.

"My guests possessions are just a bonus, but what I take from them is far more valuable than any riches", Endora answered cryptically as she aimed the skull at them.

"Eeny, meeny, miny, moe", she said playfully as she gestured at a different one with each word. She landed on Marya and began chanting words, when she did, the onyx eyes on her skull began to glow, when it did, a beam of purple energy shot out into her chest and began to pull blue strands of energy out from Marya, flowing from her into Endora, Marya screamed in agony, turning paler every second and growing weaker.

Lara and Silvio struggled to move, screaming at her to stop but she continued gleefully, cackling maniacally as the energy flowing into her restored her youth, her wrinkles disappearing and her skin color returning.

Silvio desperately reached out for his wand, trying as hard as he could to grab it, but to no avail, he looked over at Marya to see her eyes close and her head slump down, falling asleep, his eyes grew and he began to muster all his strength and energy. Suddenly his eyes glew bright green and his wand flew into his paw, he extended his arm outwards at Endora and unleashed a wave of green energy that sent Endora crashing into a bookshelf, the blue energy left Endora and returned to Marya, restoring her color and age, and returning Endora to her wrinkled, old self.
