Before the revolution I was just Elsa Lehrerin, sister to the prodigy witch Lilliana Lehrerin. Not long into our youth she chose to set sail and continue her studies at some prestigious magic academy in Selva, leaving me to take care of our parents all on my own.
Mother and father were so proud of her, I couldn't understand it at the time, I still cant. She was already amazing at everything she did, why did she feel the need to keep proving it? Everyone adored her and yet it never was enough for her...
By the time she got back alot had changed, father had passed, mother was coping as best she could, keeping herself busy with whatever she could find, and I had joined the church, who worked directly with the nobility. I never cared enough to fight against the rule, I didn't see it as tyranny, it was the same as it always was, besides, they gave me a job, a home, and stability, why fight that?
But when she came back, her outlook was different, Selva was under a monarchy too but according to her it was "fair", I believe they elect a council to keep their royalty in check, but it would take a unanimous council vote to overthrow any decision the king or queen had made.
It didn't take long for her to pick a side, obviously she chose to join a rebellion not even a week after she had come back, and I finally snapped. I spent the first years of my life living in her shadow, constantly fighting to be seen, and then she left us to pick up the mess she left behind.
And only after I had finally built my a life for me and mother did she show back up to tear it all down again, did she even think about how it would affect us? Did she care how much danger it'd put us in? No, of course she didn't, she never does.
I told her that if she left, she was no longer my sister, she was a fugitive and I would bring her in. Needless to say we had a pretty bad fight, the spellcasting kind of fight, she got better while she was training, but so did....but she got away, back then I was furious, but nowadays I'm grateful she had.
For the next year or so I tailed her across the nation mercilessly, I made a vow to the church and to our parents, and I wouldn't be going back on it. Our battles became more and more heated with each interaction, and with the pressuring of the church as well as the nobility it only made it worse. I had become someone I was not proud of and mother could see that, eventually she pleaded for me to give up and be with my sister, she could no longer stand to see her daughters quarrel with eachother...
"Oh my god's would you just skip to the part where you explain what the hells going on?! nobody wants your prequel series right now!", Klaus groaned, making Elsa's face turn red with fury.
"I'm really enjoying this story, truly, but he does have a point, aren't people's lives in danger?", Lara said, trying not to directly side with Klaus.
Hearing this Elsa calmed down and let out a long sigh before carrying on with her story.
"Eventually we put our differences aside and I joined her and your parents' crusade against the nobility-"
"And me, dont forget me!", Klaus interrupted once more waving his hand in the air like an excited toddler.
"*sigh*, AND you", Elsa clarified.
"Years after successfully overthrowing the royals, we were still trying to track down any that might try to fight back and regain control, as well as find any of those old magical artifacts made by Jord that they initially used to gain power. Everything had been going smoothly, until one fateful mission, when it all fell apart".
"On this mission, Lilliana and Klaus made an announcement...they were getting married", Elsa said.
"Wait, you two dated?!", Lara asked, looking at the two of them with wide eyes, they both glanced at eachother before turning away.
"They did, and I never approved. He was a scoundrel and had a reputation for disappearing", Elsa explained, staring daggers at Klaus, who simply sat there and grinned.
"We know how you felt about us, but it was never your decision who I chose to love", Lehrerin snapped.
"You were too clouded with affection to see the truth, so I had to do something...I just never anticipated the fallout...", Elsa replied, guilt slowly washing over her face.
"What did you do!?", Lehrerin's eyes widened when she heard this and approached her sister fiercely, demanding to know the truth.
"Everyone was so happy and excited for you two...except me, and he could tell", Elsa continued.
"Who is HE?!", Lehrerin demanded once more.
"That night in my tent I was met by your latest assistant, the young Roland, he had always seamed so innocent, but he came to me with a proposal. He knew I despised Klaus and would do anything to stop you from marrying him, so he handed me the artifact we had just procured from the mission, he told me to simply hide it inside of Klaus' bag and he would take care of the rest", Elsa explained.
"Wait, you were the one who framed me?!", Klaus snapped out of his smug and calm demeanor, rage filling him as he approached Elsa with hatred in his eyes, hands tightly grasped into fists, Lehrerin and Lara stepped in to hold him back.
"She ruined my life!", Klaus roared, trying desperately to push through them both.
"You can kill me after we fix my mess, but right now I need you all to calm down and listen!", Elsa hollered.
Klaus bit his lip and slumped down onto the floor, crossing his arms.
"I was hesistant, but I was backed into a corner and had no other options, so I did as he instructed and returned to my tent and waited till morning, and when morning came, we all were awoken by screaming. I rushed out of my tent to find Edlyn inside her tent, tears rolling down her face and hands covered in blood as she held her husbands lifeless corpse in her arms, a stab wound directly on his heart. I had no time to react before Roland burst from Klaus' tent carrying his bag, tossing it onto the ground as both the artifact and Klaus' dagger flew out, both drenched in Milo's blood. Klaus sat there shocked, he looked around as everyone turned to face him, Lilliana was about to speak before Edlyn ran at him in a blind rage, tears still staining her cheeks, he disappeared into the woods without a word, and that was the last we saw of him...until today", Elsa explained.
"Wait, I'm confused, so Roland framed him?, why?!", Lara questioned, trying to grapple with this revelation.
"I dont know what motive he had, but yes, Roland and I framed him..."Elsa corrected, making sure to include herself at fault.
"And everyone believed you, because thats all I've ever been to any of you, right? Just a thief and a criminal, a low life who would kill his own brother for some coin!", Klaus snapped at them.
"Maybe if you had bothered to try and explain yourself instead of running", Elsa added.
"Or if you had just come clean instead of hiding it all these years!"
"I TRIED!!!", Elsa howled, the whole room went silent, they all stood there for a few minutes to calm down before Elsa continued.
"...I tried, but he didn't let me", Elsa explained.
"You're telling me some kid stopped a trained cleric from telling us?", Klaus asked skeptically.
"He was no little boy, he was a wolf in sheep's clothing"
