(Song for this chapter: Fairy Tail Main Theme- slow version on repeat)
"You fend them off with William and Natty, we'll go around to the next street to flank them!" Diane shouted through the blasts of magic all around them.
"Alright!" Sebastian yelled, bringing up a shield to block a blast before shattering through an enemy shield with a swipe of his sword and blasting them in return, sending them flying into the crowd of dark wizards behind them.
"Come on-" Diane said, looking to Ominis who nodded and followed after her, his wand held high in front of him to keep track of her.
They passed one of the shops at the corner, rounding it before everything went white as a small snap cracked through the air, a scalding heat hitting her skin as she was flung through the air. Pain lanced through her side as she screamed, hitting the ground hard enough to knock the wind out of her and make her eyesight swim.
Everything was blurry. Everything hurt. What was that ringing sound?
A laugh sounded from a nearby rooftop, a wicked and sinister laugh. "Two bodies, one spell! I fucking love it!" Kyle yelled in amusement.
When her vision refocused she had a hard time figuring out what had happened. Her head was still spinning as she looked at the flaming debris around her. Her head hurt... but her side hurt more. She looked down and saw wood jutting out of her waist and thigh, blood seeping from the wound and staining her dress. She groaned in pain, before she heard a similar groan nearby.
Ominis lay panting for breath, his pale eyes wide as a large piece of wood stuck from his chest. He looked panicked, his wand clutched tight in his hand as he breathed wildly, a trickle of blood coming from the corner of his mouth.
"Ominis!" She yelled in panic at the sight, "Your grand-" she looked at his waist, the stain of green against his pants showing her that the vial had broken during his fall through the air. Damnit!
She felt at her side and felt her own intact. She glanced down at her own injuries and gave a quick shake of her head, starting to crawl toward Ominis using only her arms and her good leg, grunting in pain with each movement she made. Blood smeared along the ground as she quickly crawled, making tears come to her eyes from the intense pain of moving with the wood lodged into her. Her head was starting to spin, her limbs feeling numb as she came to him finally, touching his arm and making him jump. He grabbed at her blindly and sighed when he felt curls.
"Diane." He said weakly.
She looked down to him, tears falling down her cheeks before she grabbed the wood with both hands. "I'm sorry." She said softly before yanking it hard, Ominis shouting beneath her in pain. She took her potion out quickly and shoved it down his throat during one of his yells, the bright glow of the grand wiggenweld getting to work as he looked up with wide eyes and gasping, wet breaths.
"I love you," she said through tears, her vision starting to cloud as she saw him go limp beneath her with ragged breaths that were slowly staring to return to normal. Her limbs felt so weak now, and as she tried to support herself up on one arm it gave out from under her, causing her to fall against the gravel beside Ominis. She didn't have a potion for herself now... but that was alright. She'd saved Ominis... hopefully, and that was all that mattered to her as she blacked out.

Sebastian heard the explosion before he felt the heat against his back, looking behind him in horror. That was the direction Ominis and Diane had gone.
Panic gripped him, and he quickly sent a blast to his opponent to distract them before running off from the fight, not even caring anymore about the battle. He ran down the street as fast as he could, his eyes wide as he looked at the destroyed building. Debris was everywhere, and he couldn't see any sign of them until he rounded the corner.
