The girls bustled around the dress racks happily as Connor watched with an amused chuckle, glancing over toward the men's section and raising his brow in interest at one of the shirts. It had a ruffled neckline that went all the way down the pectorals, as well as long sleeves with a ruffled cuff. It looked rather romantic, somehow... hmm...
"Go try it on." Anne grinned, having come out of the dressing room when she changed back, hanging her chosen dress up on the rack beside the rooms that served as their final choice rack.
"I shouldn't, this day is for you girls." Connor said anxiously, but his eyes were still on the shirt as he took another sip of wine.
"Oh please, Connor." Anne rolled her eyes. "You can't come to a clothing store and not try something on. Go ahead! I promise no one will mind. You're part of all this too. Besides, you can wear it to the wedding."
Connor gave a soft thoughtful hum and smiled at the logic, nodding and setting his glass down as Diane and Poppy ran back to the other dressing room with a new dress and wild excited talking. He rather liked that the girls included him in this even though he wasn't trying on dresses, though he did like this shirt.
He grabbed it off the rack and brought it into one of the rooms, humming happily as he took his shirt off and put the new one on. It really did look good, and as he turned this way and that to look himself over, he couldn't help but imagine Will's reaction to it. Maybe if he was lucky he would get pounced. He did love how passionate William could be sometimes.
Natsai was poking around the dresses too, looking a bit unsure as she looked at a particularly ruffled one. It was a more modest dress, with sleeves that had scalloped edging and many layers of skirts.
"Natty-" Anne said in a sing-song voice to get her attention with a wry grin. "I see you looking at that dress."
Natsai glanced back at her and blushed, giving a little smile that she'd been caught. "It's much more feminine than I usually wear."
"But do you like it?" Anne asked, tilting her head.
Natsai glanced back to the dress, running her hand along the soft silk of the skirts. "I'm just not sure if it would look good on me."
"Well you won't know until you try, right?" Anne grinned.
Natsai glanced back at her and chuckled, nodding gently. It was easy to be brave for others... but not so easy to be brave for herself. But...
She took the dress off the rack with a huff, knowing Anne was right. There was no harm in trying it on!
She walked over to the last dressing room, passing Anne who smiled happily as she walked in.
"Oh goodness this one is too much!" Diane laughed as she came out with Poppy behind her, the dress she was wearing was many layers of lace and chiffon.
"I think it looks pretty." Poppy smiled thoughtfully, looking her over.
"I'm afraid I'll trip on the lace and rip it! You know how clumsy I can be." Diane sighed, looking down at the floor length layers of intricate lace. "I feel like I shouldn't move."
"Well we can't have that, because you'll definitely be dancing, if not doing other things." Poppy chuckled.
"Poppy!" Diane blushed brightly at the insinuation.
"What?" Poppy rose a brow at her curiously. "I was thinking you'd be walking a lot... what were YOU thinking of?" She snickered.
Diane blushed deeper, stammering in embarrassment as Anne laughed in amusement.
