London somehow felt different to Diane after all this time, especially knowing her father was no longer looming over her. William was still tense regardless of that, though it was likely from the impending plan more than anything else.
Anne and Garreth would stay behind for this part, and the rest of them would continue on to Kyle's home. It was nerve wracking, but she was glad that Anne and Garreth were staying out of it for now. Garreth had brought an over abundance of potions for them all, including a few of his grand wiggenwelds he'd recently finished.
The home was oddly unassuming, she'd expected something far more opulent or outspoken considering Kyle's bravado, but it was a rather normal house by upper London standards.
She was nervous though... she'd never actually confronted Kyle himself, and she'd never even met him often even while she'd lived with her family. She didn't know what to expect, and especially not with a Malfoy involved.
As they arrived at the house Will and Connor stayed at the front while she, Ominis and Sebastian went around to the back.
"Both of you stay close to me." Sebastian said firmly, looking first to her then to Ominis.
"If we can manage it, I can use legilimency to try and figure out what they're up to, as well." Ominis said quietly, letting them lead the way since he couldn't take his wand out yet.
"That's dangerous." Sebastian growled softly in distaste at the idea.
"No more dangerous than trying to take him down by force." Ominis countered. "And if I can figure out how to get through his memories then I can find out if they'll attack us again."
Sebastian let out a nervous sound before sighing in frustration. "Fine. If you can get close to him without him hurting you. Don't you dare get hurt again, Ominis. I'll be pissed."
"I bet you would." Ominis chuckled. "Don't worry. Ready, Diane?" He asked, reaching out for her hand.
"As I'll ever be." She said quietly, feeling uneasy about attacking someone in their home like this. Kyle was one thing, this strange man was another. Was he even involved? Natty had said the Malfoys were involved with financing the Right Hand group, but financing seemed different than actually trying to assassinate people. Though... he was still contributing to the issue.
"Alright, let's do this." Sebastian said in a dark tone, using a quick alohamora to unlock the back door before going in first, looking around warily. They were entering through the kitchen, Diane casting a quick revelio to see if there were any shields up.
There were no shields, but what it did reveal was cross crossing spells laced around the room in bright lines.
"Stay still." Sebastian whispered, holding his arm out to stop them from moving forward. He carefully followed one of the lines of magic down to a crystal at the corner of the room, his heart hammering in his chest.
"Go back outside for a minute." He said, looking back at them.
"We're not leaving you here!" Ominis hissed back angrily.
"If this goes off I'd rather it just be me than all three of us!" Sebastian snapped back. "Go back outside!"
Diane looked at the desperation in Sebastian's eyes and sighed softly, shaking her head in frustration. "Just be careful." She said urgently, before taking Ominis' hand. "Come on. Let him do this."
"But-" Ominis started, looking into the room in concern, his eyes flaring with his wand vision and looking wildly at the criss crossing lines around Sebastian.
