Diane woke up drowsily, sighing happily as she curled up against Ominis in bed, Sebastian snoring softly behind her. She looked up to Ominis in the early morning light, smiling softly as he looked so peaceful in his sleep, his blond hair partially fallen over his face.

She reached up and moved his hair aside with a soft smile, rather liking that he was starting to grow it out. He looked good with longer hair, it only added to the beauty of him, and softened some of his sharp features.

Ever since the other day when they'd made the decision that Ominis would be the father of their first child, she couldn't stop thinking about it. She was nervous, but also excited. She'd wanted kids for a long time, but she didn't exactly have a good representation of a family, and neither did he nor Sebastian. Would they be able to figure it out? She knew that both of them wanted to be better than the father figures they'd had in their lives, and that they were both determined to have a loving and safe family. With her as a keeper was that even possible?

"You're worrying again." Ominis muttered softly, sounding frustrated.

She stilled her hand against him in surprise, her eyes wide. "How can you tell?"

"Because your breathing is faster, and your heart is racing." Ominis said, opening his eyes and grabbing her hand to kiss her palm gently. "What are you worried about?"

Diane sighed and decided she might as well come out with it. "Whether I'll be a good mother or not." She said softly.

Ominis made a soft sound of concern and wrapped his arms around her, holding her against him soothingly. "You'll be fine, Diane. Why are you worried about that? You're one of the most loving women I've ever met."

"I hardly even remember my own mother. I don't exactly have any role models I can-" she looked up and saw Ominis giving a flat look of frustration. "I know, it's- I know it's the same with you, and Sebastian, but-"

"At least your parents aren't trying to kill you." Ominis muttered a bit, but sighed. "We're all going to try our best and that's all we can do."

"I suppose." Diane sighed softly.

"I think everyone worries whether they're good parents. Or... at least everyone who tries to be good parents worries." He chuckled with the last part. His father didn't give a damn. "What counts is trying to be the best we can. The rest will fall into place."

Diane hugged him gently and sighed, nodding as she felt better but was admittedly still nervous.

"Mmm what are you two snuggling about? Not fair." Sebastian muttered as he woke up.

"Diane is worried if she'll be a good mother." Ominis explained, to Diane's scoff of frustration that he'd ratted her out.

"That's stupid, of course she will be." Sebastian chuckled sleepily.

"As blunt as always in the morning. No filter at all." Ominis chuckled in amusement.

"What? It's the truth. Look how she babies that big ol' monster plant? Then imagine that with an actual baby. She'll be fine." Sebastian scoffed as if it couldn't be questioned.

Diane blushed at that, not realizing Sebastian had been watching her so intently while she'd been feeding the hybrid. She did tend to spoil it a bit.

"Besides I'm more worried about the meeting today, and about Anne visiting whoever hired her." Sebastian frowned.

Ominis nodded, going silent as he was worried about that as well. The meeting to go with Anne to make sure she was safe, as well as hunt down Kyle to finish this once and for all. Unfortunately it also meant dealing with a Malfoy who lived with Kyle. That part was an unknown, which he didn't like.
