((Today will be a double day :) ))

July 14th, 1893

The next morning Diane woke up feeling groggy. She'd hardly been able to sleep much, spending long hours just staring up at the ceiling. She'd thought things through, and she decided the first thing she was going to do was apologize to Ominis. She should have known how he was feeling, especially after how he'd acted in the dress store. It had been very out of character of him to be so bold... not that she was complaining.

The second thing she was going to do was talk to Sebastian, because she knew he was feeling guilty. They needed to think of a solution to this... and fast. She wanted so badly to marry them, to start their lives together. It felt like they were already bound together somehow, but the ceremony only cemented it.

She leaned back and looked at the ring on her hand, smiling warmly at the yellow gem surrounded by two green. They'd get through this... they'd gotten through so much else, hadn't they? Through travesties and trials, through battles and tears. Each time they'd been tested and their bond had only grown stronger, and it would with this, too.

She sat up in bed when she heard a knock at the front door, her heart going into her throat as she thought of who it could be. She quickly put on her robe to walk out of the room quickly, but only got into the hallway before she saw them at the end of the hall.

There was a short moment of silence as they all stood silently looking at each other before Ominis raced forward with his wand ahead of him, Sebastian close behind him.

She was suddenly surrounded by strong, warm arms. Diane hugged them back as best she could, feeling tears come to her eyes again. She buried her face into Ominis' shoulder, holding them both tightly as their embrace around her tightened as well.

After a long moment she finally leaned back, Sebastian wrapping an arm around her waist and resting his forehead against her hair as Ominis held her cheeks gently in his hands, running his thumbs gently over her skin.

"Are you doing okay, sweet?" He asked, his breath shaky with emotion as well.

Diane bit her lip to try and keep calm, so glad to have the warmth of them back after last night had been so cold and lonely. "I'm better now." She sniffed, smiling weakly.

Ominis let out a soft sound of worry and kissed her gently. "I think we all have some talking to do." He said softly.

Diane nodded in his hands, leaning her cheek against his palm gently as Sebastian's arm tightened around her with a soft sound from him. She leaned back and tried to see him through her wild curls, only to find him looking to her with dark eyes that were misty as well.

"Oh, Seb." She said in concern, reaching up to run her hand along his cheek lovingly. He leaned into the touch with a shaky breath, closing his eyes as if he'd missed her hand against him.

"Alright, love birds." Connor said from down the hallway with a warm smile. He had on a frilly blue apron and had a spatula in his hand. "Talk later, breakfast first."

Ominis gave a soft chuckle and gave Diane another kiss to her cheek before he turned to Sebastian, kissing his cheek as well.

Sebastian sighed at the touch with relief, sagging against Diane a bit. "You've gotta stop running off like that, flower." He said weakly.

"I know... I'm sorry." She said softly, running a hand through his hair reassuringly.

"You scared us, sweet." Ominis said softly, reluctant to stop touching her, so he took one of her hands in his.

"It's a bad habit." She whispered, shaking her head in frustration at herself.

"I'm about to start keeping a collar on you or something." Sebastian grumbled against her curls.
