William brought Diane into the house, worried as she sniffed softly while she tried to stay hidden under the hood of her cloak. Connor scurried to the kitchen to make some tea while William led Diane over to the couch, sitting her down and hugging her gently.
"Come on sis, tell me what's wrong. Please?" He asked, gently moving the hood down so he could see her better.
"I hurt Ominis, and..." she sniffed softly as tears flowed again "I feel terrible about it. I didn't mean to make him feel excluded- I don't know what to do about it."
Will made a soft sound of sympathy and hugged her tighter to him, looking over to the kitchen to see Connor walking back out with a cup of tea.
"Here, Di." Connor said, offering it to her. "This will at least warm you up a bit."
Diane took the cup with a soft thank you, taking a sip and sighing softly.
"You know Ominis loves you, Diane. You just have to talk it over with him." Connor sat down in the chair beside the couch, letting Will and her have some space.
"Yeah, I know it's hard to talk about things like this, but... it has to be done sometimes." Will said softly, glancing to Connor who gave him a little smile.
"I know, I just... I don't know what to do about the wedding. I don't want him to feel like I love him any less because I don't." Diane said miserably, looking down into her cup. "I love them both, and I feel like I've made Ominis doubt that."
"Have you asked him about it?" Connor asked gently.
"No." Diane muttered uneasily.
"Then you're assuming he feels that way?" William sighed.
Diane glanced away, not willing to admit it.
"I think if you'd ask him, he'd disagree with you." Will said, running her back gently. "He knows you love him. Diane, he wants to marry you, that's a big deal! Marriage is the biggest step you can take!" He said in encouragement. "I mean, besides kids or something." He shrugged.
"We... talked about that too." Diane whispered.
"What?" Connor said in shock, William's eyes going wide.
"I... I wanted to..." Diane sighed, looking miserable again. "I still want to-" she was having a hard time talking again.
"You want to have kids with them?" Connor smiled warmly. She and William really were alike, they both got so tongue tied when they were emotional.
Diane gave a little nod, a blush coloring her cheeks.
"That's... that's a big deal, Di." William said breathlessly.
"I know," Diane whispered softly. "But... I really do want that. I want to marry them, to have a future with them, make a family with them... both of them." She lowered her head in frustration. "But I feel like we messed it up and excluded Ominis."
"No one ever said a three way relationship would be easy, Diane." Connor said gently. "But you three have been managing pretty good for the most part. It's complex, and it will take work and a hell of a lot of patience. All relationships do."
"With three of you there may be times where one of you feels left out... but you need to say something. Ominis may be a legilimen but he's not psychic." Will smirked wryly.
Diane chuckled a bit at that and sighed, taking another sip of tea. "I'll go talk to them... I think some time to cool off might be good though."
"Poppy will be by later tonight, she said she'd be back, so maybe she'll have some news for us." Connor added.
