Diane was practically vibrating with excitement as she and Anne waited outside of Gladrags, bouncing happily from foot to foot while Anne sat on the bench outside the shop with an amused chuckle.
"Will you sit down? You're making me tired just watching you!" Anne laughed at how excited she was.
"I can't help it! I mean, it was fun picking out the dress before-" and... trying it on... "but this is so different, it feels so much more... I don't know, real?" Diane grinned.
"Because it is real, silly." Anne rolled her eyes. "Why wouldn't it be real?"
Diane giggled a bit, seeing the similarities between her and Sebastian again. Both of them were so painfully practical, sometimes. Thank goodness for that, though. "It's hard to describe, I guess." Diane chuckled, and looked up as Poppy ran down the road, panting for breath as she reached them.
"I'm so glad I'm not late. I had asked Michael this morning to show me what magic he knew and he nearly set the house on fire!" She huffed in frustration.
"A little guy after my own heart, sounds like." Connor laughed as he walked up as well, holding up a basket. "I brought wiiiine." He grinned. "And some pumpkin juice for our Anne."
Anne smiled happily that he'd thought of that. "Thank you Connor."
"Of course! Now, we're just waiting on Natsai, right?" He looked at the little group.
"It's not like her to be late." Poppy said thoughtfully, looking down the street toward where Natsai lived.
"Maybe she just slept in." Connor shrugged. "Everyone is entitled to sleeping in once in a while."
"Oh wait, I think I see her!" Anne said, squinting her eyes to see better.
It was indeed Natsai, who was running down the street before she stopped and panted for breath. "I'm sorry! I had a terrible headache this morning, but it seems to be better now." She said with a sigh, glancing to Connor who rose a brow at the look.
"Well, glad you're feeling better." Diane smiled. "If you don't feel good you can always-"
"I'm not missing this, are you kidding me?" Natsai laughed. "After everything we've been through I'm going to be here when you pick out your dress! Besides we all get to pick out dresses today." She blushed a bit at the idea. "I'm rather excited about that."
Diane smiled happily, glad they were all looking forward to it.
"Well damn, I'm feeling a bit left out, maybe I'll pick a dress too." Connor snickered.
Diane giggled at the idea, wondering what Will's reaction to that would be. Shock, for sure.
Natsai made a thoughtful look at that, thinking of how Linus had been yesterday. She wondered if he would even remember being like that, since he'd been... well, he definitely hadn't been in his normal state. She should probably check on him again after they were done here, to make sure he wasn't sick after all that. She wasn't sure what drug he'd taken, but it had certainly been potent. She should ask Connor if he knew anything about him...
Augustus unlocked the door to the shop from inside, the bell sounding above the door as it opened. "Welcome, everyone! I hope you're excited for today! It will be a wonderful time!" He said, inviting the group in.
Diane all but skipped into the shop in excitement, gasping at the array of white wedding dresses Augustus had already set up for her to look through.
"I have many different types of dresses for the bridesmaids as well. Color changes are simple enough, so as soon as you pick out a style we can start trying things on."
