Diane was relieved at the news that Connor was finally awake, and that he and William were staying with Garreth and Anne until they were both a bit healthier. Connor had been back to his normal self, and while William had been much happier he was still rather clingy to Connor. Understandably so...

It made her think back to Sebastian from not so long ago, and as she jogged up the hill toward their house she was greeted with him standing in the doorway with a frown of unease.

"You snuck off." He growled unhappily.

"It was just to Anne's house, it's not far." Diane said defensively. "You were busy and Ominis is at the Ministry for work-"

"You could have asked, I would have gone with you." Sebastian said gruffly. "What if something happened? We don't know if they'll attack again."

Diane walked up to him and stood on her toes to kiss his cheek gently, smiling when the kiss made his cheeks blush a bit. He still looked annoyed, though. "But I'm fine, aren't I?" She said softly, running her hand along his chest. "Come on, Ominis will be home soon, let's make some dinner."

"You're changing the subject." Sebastian grumbled as she walked past him through the entryway.

"I am. I know you're still upset about what happened, but you need to let Ominis and I be more independent, as well. You can't watch us forever. Besides, what will you do when we have kids? You can't hover over them like that." She said idly, tying her curls up in the mirror in the hallway.

That stopped Sebastian in his tracks, his eyes going wide at the mention of kids. "D-Diane-" he said her name softly in surprise.

She looked over to him with the tone, saw his shocked expression and chuckled softly as she attempted to try and tame her locks up into a hair tie. "Is it so surprising? We'll all be married soon... and Anne is having her baby soon." She said, her tone turning softer as she spoke. "Besides Merlin knows Ominis would like it, and you-" she was cut off by his arms wrapping around her waist, pulling her back against him as he buried his face in her neck with a shaky breath.

"I'd like it too." He said in a small voice against her skin, one of his hands gliding over her stomach with the thought.

Diane blushed and smiled warmly, looking at him in the mirror as he held her so tight. "I know you would, Seb." She said sweetly, reaching up to run her fingers through his curly hair. "You have to watch that you're not too protective, though. Kids should be able to learn things on their own through mistakes, too."

Sebastian looked into their reflection in the mirror and smiled against her shoulder, his dark eyes turning smoldering as he watched his hand run along her waist and up to her breast. "You should tell Ominis that too, I bet he'd be worse than me that way." He chuckled.

"You both will." Diane laughed. "And knowing the three of us, any kids we have will be hellions."

Sebastian gave a wicked smile against her skin. "I like the idea of raising hellions."

"I bet you do." Diane rolled her eyes with a smirk. "We should start dinner though, or it won't be ready for when Ominis comes home."

"So domestic." He teased with a grin before kissing her shoulder and letting go.

"He's been working all day, and it's getting difficult for him with how close he is to getting his license. That mentor of his is really putting him through the wringer." Diane blushed at being called domestic, but she was just trying to be considerate.

"I think something else has been bothering him too, but he hasn't been willing to say it. You know how bad I am at prying things from him... maybe you can ask him? I'm getting a bit worried." Sebastian said with a small frown.
