Connor was finally able to feel comfortable enough to return home, and as they walked in the door William set a hand against his lower back to steady him after going up the last step. He'd been all but clinging and doting on him for the last few days since he'd woken up, but he wasn't going to complain. He was, however, rather concerned by the desperation in William's eyes when he woke up in the morning, followed by intense relief when he looked up to him.
His poor man had been pretty messed up by this whole fiasco, and it pissed him off. He was looking forward to finding that little shit and making him pay for what he'd done.
"You go lay down. I'll get us some lunch." William said softly, wrapping an arm around Connor's waist and kissing his cheek before reluctantly letting him go to move toward the kitchen.
Connor wasn't going to turn down a chance to lay down, his muscles still aching and a bit weak from being unconscious for so long. It was scary to think that he had lost a week, but he was glad that he'd finally woken up... for both their sake's.
He tugged off his shirt and climbed into the bed, sighing as he leaned back against the pillows. He hoped the shop was doing well. Penny must be frantic without him around, or she'd been forced to close it once she'd run out of things to sell. Poor dear, but he wasn't going to be back up to his full strength for a bit, yet.
He laid back and relaxed for a while until William came back into the room with a pile of cheeses and bread on a plate, looking a bit frustrated. "I guess I should have gone shopping. We don't have much." He sat in the bed next to him and set the plate between them. "I'll go out quick after lunch and get some food."
"This will be fine, Will." Connor said in amusemebt, leaning over to kiss his neck gently. "Besides, I'd rather spend time with you."
William looked over to him with a soft smile, setting the plate on the end table before turning around to lay against him, sighing as he buried his face into Connor's neck. "I would like a day of us just alone. It was nice of Anne and Garreth to let us stay but it's good to be home with you."
Connor blushed and smiled warmly down to Will, running a hand through his auburn hair happily. "I wouldn't mind an afternoon snuggling, that's for sure. Though you know with us snuggling usually leads to more."
"I doubt you're good for more." Will leaned back enough to look up to him skeptically. "You nearly stumbled up the stairs."
"Well, if you took control this time, I wouldn't need to worry about that now would I?" Connor grinned.
William turned red at what he was implying, before chuckling softly. "You're always so horny."
"Well how can I help that when you're always so handsome?" Connor grinned, reaching up to run his fingers along William's sharp cheekbones and chiseled jaw. "You're so rough and harsh looking, but with such gentle eyes. I really do love you."
William smiled weakly under the attention, closing his eyes to savor his touch. "I love you too." He said softly, leaning into his hand. He turned his head to kiss his hand, and smiled wryly against his palm. "And you're handsome too... but you know that."
"I do, but I still like hearing it." Connor chuckled softly, running his thumb gently over William's lips.
William laughed and took his hand in his, gently kissing the bottom of his wrist over the soft delicate skin there, his pale blue eyes looking at Connor as he did so.
