Falling For The Right One, A Hogwarts Fanfic Love Story

Hogsmeade

*Alicias POV*

The chatter in the hallways was almost overpowering to my ears, anytime I looked at anyone they would instantly stop talking.
Everyone must know by now that Sebastian had broken up with me.
I pushed through the crowds until I spotted four familiar faces.
Natsai, Garreth,Poppy and Ominis were huddled in a corner together.
As I walked closer I could see their looks of concern and sympathy cross their faces.
Taking a deep breath I steadied myself and closed the distance between us.
"I'm so sorry Ali I can't believe the gall of him to break up with you over something as silly as a spell. Any one of us would have faltered if we had been in your shoes." Poppy said and rushed over and pulled me into a warm hug.
"I can't honestly wrap my head around it, he is my world what am I to do without him, I am nothing without him."
Poppy and Natsai frowned, "Ali you are so much more than that a mere boy could not define who you are. You are a hero who saved the wizarding world from utter despair. Do not let anyone make you feel less. We were planning to head to hogsmeade would you come with us? I think you could use some distraction." Natsai replied to me.
"That sounds exactly what I need lets get going before it gets to cold."

The walk to hogsmeade was cold, but the cold air was refreashing Poppy and Ominis were walking together hand in hand. I smiled I was glad they had found something in each other. They were good together she was exactly the kind of person Ominis needed in his life.
Garreth and Natsai were deep in conversation about the next wizarding duels that were being held soon. Their exitement had only grown more as the week grew closer.
It felt weird that Seb was not at my side he had always came along on these trips even though he never really cared for Hogsmeade.
I pushed the thoughts out of my head, I knew he would be by my side again eventually I had to be strong.
I got lost in the scenery around me it was a beautiful day little puffskeins bounced around near the forbidden forest.
Poppy walked towards them and threw handfulls of crumbs to them. She smiled as they all rushed towards her.
One slowly made it's way over to me and plopped down on my foot as it's big eyes stared up at me.
I slowly bent down and gave it a little pet before coaxing it off my boot.
It hopped back to it's family.
"Oh how much I love puffskeins they are the most adorable creatures on this planet." Poppy exclaimed, Ominis chuckled and pulled her close you are the most adorable creature to walk this world Poppy."
A familier feeling of unease filled me to the brim. Maybe I was just jealous that I could no longer show my affection in public towards Seb.
As freely as they could.
We made our way into the outskirts of Hogsmeade.
The town was bustling with people who came to sell their wares, many students shared our idea of visiting Hogesmeade as well.
There were shouts and laughs and many people were making their way through the masses.
Children ran and wieved their way through their hands full of treats and toys.
Sweet smells assaulted our noses as we passed honeydukes. I made a mental note to stop in there before we left.
Making our way into the three broomsticks the heavy oak door closed behind us.
The familiar worn in booths came into view the warm air warmed our faces.
We quickly settled into an open booth. The quiet buzz of conversations surronded us. Many were talking about the duels while others gossiped about their classes and not surprisingly about my break up.
I stood up taking off my cloak." I will head over to Sirona and grab us all butterbeers." Poppy elbowed Ominis, he looked over at her before standing up "let me come help you four mugs are a lot to cary for one person."
We managed to wade through the crowd up to the bar.
"Why isn't it two out of the three of my favorite customers I hope summer break has treated you well, have you been staying out of trouble? It feels like just yesterday that you two stumbled into my shop out of breathe after defeating a troll."
I smiled Sirona was someone I looked up too. She was kind but strong and always stood up for people who were in need.
"We have managed to avoid any trouble that has come our way, this year so far. We wanted to order four butter beers please. It has been so nice to see you again as well to see that your business is thriving."
Ominis nodded in agreement, "just one second I will have those made for you the first round is on the house."
Sirona walked towards the barrels pouring our drinks, I could feel Ominises eyes on me
"I am okay Ominis everything has been an act it would not be normal for me to act as I normally do after being dumped."
Ominis went to speak but Sirona had returned with four big mugs filled to the top. The foam spilling over as she sat them down on the counter.
"Enjoy I am sorry I can't chat as much as I want too but do stop by and fill me in on your adventures." "We will have a good day Sirona," Ominis replied before taking two of the mugs off of the counter. I grabbed the remaing mugs and we headed towards our booth.
Sitting down Poppy leaned into Ominis as we continued our conversation about the duels coming up. It was a popular topic 
Two other schools would be sending their  sixth and seventh years who wanted to participate to Hogwarts. There was to be feasts and the festivities would end at a ball. I had hoped in the start of this year that Sebastian would be my date but it looked like I would be going stag if I went.
Suddenly a warm liquid spilled down my hair seeping into my clothes startled I looked up and it was no other than Saraphina.
"Oops I am so sorry I tripped and spilled my butterbeer on you. She smiled innocently, Sebastian came into view and tugged in Saraphinas arm. As you can see Sebastian has finally realised that I am his perfect match it just took him longer than I would have liked to kick you to the curb." She smiled cruely and took Sebastians hand in hers. "She isn't worth our time Sara lets move on to better company."
"I fully agree lets be off." She smirked at me one more time before walking away.
The anger boiled over trying to mask the pain of seeing her hands connected to Sebastians.
"Excuse me I need to go clean up." As I stood up to head to the washroom, "let me help I know of a spell that can instantly dry your clothes." Poppy chimed in, "no thank you I would rather do this myself I grabbed my cloak and headed towards the door.
The chilly breeze infiltrated my wet sticky clothes sending chills down my body as I made my way deeper into hogsmeade.
Making my way to the hogs head I needed something stronger than butterbeer to wash the image of Saraphina and Sebastian together.
Casting a spell on myself I dried my clothes before pushing the old heavy door into the hogs head. I made my way to the bar and pushed a few coins onto the counter ordering a few shots of fire whiskey. I quickly gulped them down ignoring the burning sensation as the whiskey coated my throat.
In the corner sat two wizards who were in such deep conversation they did not notice my arrival my curiousity got the better of me and I went to sit at the end of the bar in order to eavesdrop. I ordered another few rounds of fire whiskey as I listened in to their conversation.
"It's about bloody time something was done about these mudbloods, they only tarnish the wizarding world.
They should have never been allowed to become a part of our society."
The other nodded in agreement, "I heard that the attacks have now turned deadly they are leaving the bodies out in the open to show what you deserve if you are a mudblood."
My anger flared up inside me again.
It was sickening to hear that people actually agreed that these attacks were warrented.
I wanted to leave but I wanted to see if these two idiots had anything worthy of my attention.
"I heard there is to be a meeting soon for people like us outside of Hogsmeade in the old cemetary. I plan to go to it you should come."
"What day and time? I would love to go and find a way to rid us of these pesky mudbloods."
"Two nights from now as soon as the sun sets."
My heart began to race, maybe if I crashed this meeting I could find the truth to what is going in so Seb and I could stop the charade we had going on. I downed the last two shots and quickly left. Hoping that my presense had remained unnoticed by those men.
I was making my way back to Hogwarts I didn't bother stepping back into the three broomsticks as by now I knew my friends had already returned to Hogwarts in peperation for the duels coming up.
I still hadn't signed myself up yet as I was hesitant.
I stumbled over a rock and realised that I had drank too much, I knew I would have a raging headache in the morning.
The cold wind whispered past me sending small chills throughout my body. Concentrating on putting one foot in front of the other I hadn't noticed the two shadows in the distance behind me.
"Stupefy!" I barely manage to dodge that spell. Taking a glance back I cursed, it was those two men from Hogs head
My vision was a little dizzy I was way too intoxicated to he in a proper fight.
I grabbed my wand and cast Protego before gathering myself into a run 
"Bombardo" a tree cracked and splintered next to me.
Sending little shards into my face leaving small cuts in their path.
I ran into something hard that would have knocked me off my feet if that hard thing hadn't caught me.
My heart was going into over drive my blood racing through my veins. I wondered if there had been a third in their group.
"Locomotor mortis, the two mens legs instantly snapped together forcing them to be thrown onto the ground. Obliviate, Incendio.
The man who was holding me returned his wand to his pocket.
My adrenaline mixed with the alcohol was making me tremble.
I was a little scared and a little turned on with how strong and confident the man who saved me was.
Are you olay Alicia? Who were those men after you? He pulled me into the forbidden forest in case anyone one else was coming for me. He put me up against a tree and stood back.

I glanced at the man who had saved me. He was tall so tall  his crisp black pants where slightly dirty at the bottoms. His white button up shirt was untucked partially. With his blazer hanging off his broad shoulders. I could his muscles flexing under his shirt as he caught his breath. Looking father up I was startled, a familiar pair of fogged over eyes met mine.
His blonde hair was dishelved and his mouth turned into a frown. I could tell he was fraught with worry.
But it was like I was seeing Ominis for the first time. I couldn't take my eyes off him much less manage to get an words out.
Alicia for merlins sake tell me what happened? Why were those men after you and why did you leave without telling me, do you know how worried I was!
He brow scrunched up in frustration but all I could manage was to stare at the way his lips moved while he spoke.
He walked up to me and grabbed onto my shoulders.
Alicia for damn sakes talk to me I can not have this conversation with myself." He groaned out of frustration.
I snapped myself out of the trance I was in I did owe him answers.
"I left because I didn't want anyones pity it makes me feel guilty about what we are keeping from them. I feel as though I am tricking them. Secondly I went to the hogshead and drank a little too much when I overheard those two men in a conversation discussing a meeting they were planning on going too.
Even though now that their memories are wiped I don't know if they will attend.
I thought I had been careful but I guess my spying skills quite lack when I am intoxicated. But I have a plan.
Before I could finish Ominis placed his hand on my face taking his thumb and pressing my lips closed.

"There is to be no plans besides getting you into bed, we can continue this conversation tomorrow when you have sobered up.
My pulse was racing Ominis had never touched me in this way I could feel the heat of his body through my own clothes. I could feel his warm breath on my lips. I wanted to push him away but I could not get myself to do it.
Ominis cleared his throat and stepped away. Let's get going before I have to cary you home."
Trying to rid of the blush that had appeared all over my face I was greatful that he couldn't see me right now.
