Unchartered waters

*Alicias POV*

The sound of waves slowly lapping at the sides of the dock slowly stirred me from my sleep.
I smiled to myself when I felt a warm strong pair of arms holding me. And than I realised that it was Ominis and not Sebastian.
I quickly removed his arms which jostled him awake.
For a moment he also looked lost before adjusting to the reality. He ran his hand through his hair.
"I guess it is time to pick up and get inside."
He almost sounded dissapointed. "We should get going today we are supposed to meet Seb in the undercroft, I would like to know why he never made it last night.
I will see you later Ominis," as I finished putting the blankets away.
I made my way off the docks without looking back.
I hadn't planned to have my first sleep over with a guy that was just a friend.
I quickly hopped into a shower and pulled my school robes on and gathered what I needed for the DATDA class.
It was finally my chance for my do over. This time I was going to prove I could use the patronus spell.
I quickly got in line and grabbed a bagle and slathered it with cream cheese, moving on I grabbed a fresh mug of coffee and made my way up to class.
Drinking my coffee I almost wanted to barf when I saw Saraphina and Sebastian making out in the hallway.
I knew he would have to kiss her but it still twisted my stomach into knots when I saw them kissing.
Those lips belonged only on mine.
Saraphina opened her eyes as if she had felt my eyes on them and it only urged her to pull him closer to her pressing his hand onto her ass.
She tilted her head giving him access to her neck which he greedily sucked on. She smiled in my direction.
I walked past them into the classroom and sat next to Ominis.
He leaned in and whispered
"It's all fake Alicia remember that he is not enjoying himself one bit with what he is doing."
I softly said "I know" hoping my voice didn't betray me as I was trying to mask the disgust and anger I felt.
Soon all the students shuffled their way into class of course Saraphina and Sebastian were last to come in.
"Today students we will be ending this chapter and be moving onto the next lesson in our next class, Evermore it is time for you to try and defeat your deepest fears."

I confidently strode up to the cloak closet and prepared myself of what was to come out.
They say bogarts never come out as the same thing twice for a person.
Ominis and Sebastian came out of the closet they were tearing other into shreds covering themselves and each other in their blood.
"Expecto Patronum!" The tip of my wand emited a blinding light before turning into a black wolf. It snarled and snapped it's jaws at the bogart and advanced on it as if it was stalking it's prey. It pounced onto the bogart and ripped it's head off sending black liquid everywhere.
Students screamed as the bodies of Ominis and Sebastian the only parts the wolf had not torn to shreds slumped down headless.
Professor Hecat was shocked she had never seen anything with the ability to kill a bogart before. The black wolf dissapeared into a fine mist retreating back into my wand.
I was stunned, patronuses were always white or silver and none had been as violent as hers.
The class was in complete silence a few students looked at me with fear.
Professor Hecat cleared her throat, "well I guess our class is over early today you are all dismissed. Besides you Alicia we need to have a talk."
Ominis whispered I will be waiting outside. My stomach turned what if I had just casted black magic, ancient magic was still a mystery to me.
"Ominis I will have you stay I think it is implorable that Alicia has someone she can lean on during this conversation."
Professor Weasely apparated into Hecats office and waived us into the office.
"I know you must be greatly confused onto what happened with your patronus I am curious to see it in person but for everyones safety I am going to place a shield around you in case your patronus decided to attack.
I think I know what is going on in Professors Figs notes from his wife she mentions that ancient magic can affect spells differently.
It's time for you to cast it again."
"Expecto Patronus," the giant black wolf was released from my wand again. It paced around the shield looking for any weak spots or opening.
It turned towards me and looked me dead in the eyes.
It slowly moved in my direction it slowly lets out a growl and lifted it's lips baring it's teeth at me. He circles around me assesing every part of me.
I keep calm knowing any kind of reaction might set him off,
He makes his way back to the front of me and sits. "You are my master I can feel your magic pulse through my veins. I am Azgaro your spirit animal, what do you need of me."
I was speechless how could he talk to me and even better yet how could I understand him.
"I am sorry for my manners but I was not expecting a intelligent being to come from my wand when I casted the patronus charm.
The wolf let out what sounded like a grumbled laugh.
" you have ancient magic in your blood girl you have what many other seek. Your patronus would not be some useless pretty dazzeling creature. I am what patronuses were before they became their weak forms when Ancient magic had been forgotten. People have forgotten their magic was born from this world and not of themselves, man did not create magic Mother Earth did. Now if that is all the questions you have I shall return to my home until you are in need of my assitance."
He dissapeared like a cloud of smoke.
"That is what I had thought from Professors figs notes people used to have to win the respect of their patronus or other wisely known as spirit animals. With the loss of the connection between mother Earth and humans the patronuses are only a shadow of what they once were."
"Well that is quite the amount of information load, if you don't mind can you excuse Ominis and I we have made plans with our other friends that we are now late for."
" yes you may go but remember Alicia there is still so much to learn about your magic do not take this lightly."
" I won't I promise Professor Weasley."
Ominis and I made our way out of class we ran to the undercrofts door and walked in before anyone had the chance to see us.

"It's about time you two showed up what took you two so long?" A look of jealousy crossed Sebs face, I ran over to him and put my arms around him. " I have missed feeling you against me. And I will fill you in during the next time we have a moment alone. We have more important things to discuss.
The gathering didn't give us much info besides knowing the person who is recruiting people for their evil cause is planning on sending them information on what the next move is going to be. I wish we could get a hold of one of those notes."
Seb pulled a note out of his pocket kind of like this one? I managed to grab it out of Saraphinas robe pocket. I thought something was fishy when an owl I had never seen before showed up and delievered it too her.
So that answers one of our questions on who is involved if Saraphina got the letter she herself has at least gotten involved with this group.
The only issue is from this point that whatever is on this note is invisible unless you know the word to release the spell."
I groaned in frustration it was like we kept hitting a dead end after a dead end.
"Give it back to Saraphina let her open it and steal it after she is done with it. Ominis replied it shouldn't be to hard for you to use her right Sebastian?"
"Ominis I don't care for what your trying to poke at but I can't she only opens her mail in her room. As I have promised Alicia I would never end up in her bed which is what I would have to do in order to steal it back."

I felt the anger rise inside of me. There is no way in hell that I would allow that.
"Come up with a better plan the both of you it's about time you two made up I have noticed the tension between you both and it's only getting in the way of our quest." If I have to watch you kiss Saraphina there better be success to the end of this quest."
I walked out of the undercroft leaving them to fix whatever was going on between the two of them.
I walked down to the great halls for lunch the house elves were busy putting up the final touches before the other two schools arrived.
Head master Black wanted to show his rivals that no school could be as granduous as Hogwarts.
Grabbing a plate filled with fruits I walked over to Poppy and Natsai who had just started in on their own lunches.
Sitting down I smiled at both of them. "I think we are in desperate need of a girls night."
Poppy smiled instantly and nodded. "Count me in,"  Natsai replied.
"Lets meet at the prefects bath tonight so we can all catch up.
I will bring the snacks."

*Sebastians POV*
After Alicia stormed out Ominis and I stood in silence neither of us wanting to swallow our pride.
"I think it's time Seb we need to be fully honest with one another Alicia is right we can't work as a team while we are at odds with one another."
"We would have never been at odds if you hadn't came home smelling like my girlfriend."
"Sebastian I have already explained that I had only been there to keep her safe I can't help that my clothes smelled of her I was gaurding her from being killed did you expect me to throw her in the bushes? He sighed I knew I was blowing this out of proportion and should be greatful that he had saved her. But I was angry that he had saved Ali and not me.
It was hard  chocking down the fact that I hadn't been able to be there to protect her.
"There is nothing going on between Alicia and I she has always been yours. I  am also very satisfied with my relationship with Poppy I have no hidden agendas I just want to make sure one of my closest friends stays alive and well.
However my issues with you lie in what I walked into. Not only was it wrong now I have been stuck keeping this a secret from Alicia and it is a secret I will always keep. But if I find out thst you have gone any further do not think for a single second that I will keep my mouth closed."

"Now that we have hashed things out we need a plan on how to get the letter after Saraphina had read it, I have an idea but I don't think you will like it as polyjuice and kidnapping are invovled with this scheme.
