Falling For The Right One, A Hogwarts Fanfic Love Story

Herbology Class.

*Alicias POV*
I quickly adjusted my uniform while walking to Professors Gorlicks class, trying to calm the flush that was all over my face.
Seb & I had never gotten that far before, we never really had the time to sneak away for long periods of time.
I could still feel his touch lingering on my skin.
The smell of damp earth and leafy plants, greeted me as I entered herbology class.

One thing Ominis & I had bonded over was that we were both horrible at herbology. No matter how much I tried to keep my plants alive they would wither away and turn into the shriveled up versions of their former selves.
Glancing towards the tables I noticed my usual spot next to Ominis was taken by Poppy.

I had wondered how their conversation went, it must have gone well as I noticed a slight blush spread across Poppys face when Ominis leaned over and whispered something witty no doubt into her ear.

I sat next to Wendy Cho hoping to get the class over with. Seb had quidditch practice so I figured I would venture back down to the boat house to study after herbology was over.
A feeling of unease spread through out my body when I heard Ominis laugh over something Poppy had said to him.

As soon as Professor Gorlick dismissed us I packed up my things and left the classroom as fast as I could.
For some reason I couldn't bring myself to walk with Ominis and Poppy to a common area in the castle that we all gathered in after classes were over.

I left out the side entrance and made my way down the steps towards the boat house.
I loved coming here the quietness always set me at ease. The sounds of the waves crashing into the sides of the docks always soothed me.
Pulling out my transfiguration book I began studying about the last steps into becoming an animagus 
After hearing Natty talk about how freeing it felt to be an Animagus. I very much wanted to be one too I wanted to be a wolf.
I could feel my power seep into my veins, begging me to cast the spell. I knew my ancient magic would make this easy for me but I was worried, I had only just begun practicing casting without a wand. What if I couldn't manage to cast the spell to turn me back into my human self.

I sighed to myself closing my book I looked out on to the lake. My mind wandered and I thought back on the feelings I had felt when seeing Ominis and Poppy together.
These feelings were so confusing, I couldn't grasp onto why I felt so wrong when I saw them together.

"A penny for your thoughts?" A deep voice came out of nowhere.
Startled I looked back and realised Ominis stood only a few feet away from me.
He was wearing black  trousers with a long sleeved brown shirt with with the top few buttons unbuttoned, I had always known he was handsome. But he was borderline devistatingly handsome the kind that you couldn't ignore.
If I had been any other girl I would have been swooning at the sight of him.

" I was just thinking about you Ominis, I noticed that Poppy was sitting next to you in herbology.
I didn't realise that my company was no longer needed now that you and Poppy are together."
Ominis's smile faded quickly from his lips and was replaced with a small scowl.
"I am allowed to have a girlfriend Alicia did you expect me to always be the third wheel? Am I not allowed to have meaningful relationships outside of you and Seb? You have no reason to be upset with me Alicia."

I shrunk back realising how out of place I was to be upset over his relationship with Poppy.
It left me so confused but this feeling only grew stronger as the silence grew.
"Of course not Ominis you deserve to find someone who makes you happy. I just don't want to lose the friendship we have. Even a nice girl like Poppy might get upset that you spend time with another girl."

Packing up my things I quickly stood up, "Alicia nothing could end our friendship you are one of my dearest friends. I don't know where this is coming from but frankly I don't like that you think our friendship could end so easily as if our time together meant nothing."
He stepped towards me, " I need to go Ominis I have too, I have to go to the library and finish up my report for our mythical beasts class." I brushed past him before he could utter another word.
I felt so crazy  I don't know why I was so upset over him being with someone.
