*Alicia POV*
We were lead into a darkly lit sitting room a fireplace and a few candles provided the only light.
A house elf skittered away at our entrance as the gaurd shoved me into the room.
The couches that were placed to encircle the fire place were made of a fine dark leather. With plush black pillows arranged on them perfectly. Paintings covered the walls ranging from picturesque country scenes to portraits outlined with black embelleshed frames.
The smell of tobacco lingered in the air giving a musty quality to the room.
I allowed my eyes to wander to the figured that was leaning on the fireplace looking into the smoldering flames that were consuming the wood completely. The shadows and lights danced across his face, I have always thought that the villians were supposed to look grotesque from the hate that filled their veins. That it morphed them into hidieous monsters, as my eyes lingered on him, I was realising he was devistatingly handsome in a way that it was almost unfair.
His silky black locks framed his face with the rest being tied up in a ponytail, his face was chizeled like it had been made from marble, he had a strong jaw that laid under two plump lips his nose was perfectly shaped and his eyes a deep sapphire blue. He was broad in the shoulders and chest, his legs were well muscled and long. He towered many inches above me.
His lips tugged into a smirk when our eyes met.
My cheeks flushed knowing I could not deny that I had been caught admiring him.
"So you have finally came to talk to me Miss Evermore." His deep voice captivated me, as his eyes bore into mine as if he was trying to look into the deepest crevices in my mind.
Before I could reply Xavior stepped in front of me ending the trance that Marx had me in.
"We have come to talk brother, it's time for you to stop in your endevors. That your twisted mind has put into play. We have three options for you that the ministry is willing to allow.
Marx's smirk grew wider as if he wanted to laugh at Xavior,
You can surrender and the ministry has promised to do whatever they can to break you from the unbreakable vow, we can fight you and consequencily send you to spend the rest of your days in Azkaban for the crimes you and your organization have commited. Or you find death."
My breathe retreated into my lungs as the two brothers stod still and staring at one another. The tension was palpatable,
Marx sighed and moved from leaning on the mantlepiece of the fireplace.
"My dear brother what a fool you must be to believe in their lies and believe that my ambition is soley based on an unbreakable vow.
Muggle borns need to be removed from the wizarding world.
They suffer the most in or society being more than a muggle but less than what we are. They are stuck between two worlds, if we force them out they will make their own society. Whete they don't feel insdequate in their magic. Not having to compare to us, life would be better.
Unfortunatly I have other choices out of the ones you have so kindly offered. Alicia it is so nice to see you again, as beautiful as ever a small smirk crossed his lips as his eyes racked every part of my body. I know I will see both of you soon."
He was gone in an instant.
"NO! Xavior screamed as he realised that Marx had slipped from his grasp again.
"We need to go."
He pulled me close and apparated us back to grounds of hogwarts
The cold nights air infiltrated the layers of clothes I wore leaving me shiver as I stood next to Xavior.
His face was still contorted in anger and frustration.
I pulled him into my arms and embraced him holding onto him as if he would explode into pieces if I let go. "Alicia you need to make it back to your dorm. We will talk again soon."
He apparated and left me standing alone.
Exhaustion rolled off me in waves, I wanted to apparate but I had used my magic a lot and the drain of it would be too much. My legs trembled under the weight of my body with each step.
My body protested with every movement, I was at the long walking bridge I slumped down ont the worn and wooden bench I leaned back and looked up to the stars watching them flicker like a candle lights flame in the wind.
A figure appeared out of the darkness and I frantically searched for my wand as he approached.
"It's just me Alicia, no need for your wand, I think you caused me a great deal of pain recently.
His words almost coming out as a growl.
But now isn't the time to talk about what you did. He clame closer and ensnared me with his arms and he picked me up. Before I could reply I instantly fell asleep in his arms.I woke up from a jolt grunting in pain I opened my eyes to see that I had fallen from the couch that was placed in the undercroft. I rubbed the shoulder that had took much of the impact.
As my vision cleared I noticed Ominis sleeping in the chair next to the couch. His clothes were disheavled and wrinkled his hair was a mess, but my eyes became fixed on his face.
He was beautiful, his usually narrowed eyes were relaxed and closed giving them a much rounder look. His full lips were perfectly pouted.
I forced my eyes from him and carefully got up not wanting to wake him.
Spending time alone with him only lead to trouble. I had broken the bonds, but it wouldn't take much effort for them to he snapped back into place if I wasn't careful enough.
I quietly exited the undercroft letting my thoughts take over.I couldn't help but feel that Xavior was letting his personal emotions for his brother over run this case. If he had managed to stay steady we might have captured Marx.
Covering a yawn I made my way to my dorm I needed a shower and time to think of a new plan to catch Marx even if it meant side barring Xavior from participating
