*Alicias POV
It was if I had been frozen in place as I looked on Azalias lifeless body.
As much as I disliked her she didn't deserved to have her life so carelessly stolen from her.
I quickly shut the door and ran looking for a professor as I rounded a corner I slammed into a solid and hard obstacle. "Woah slow down Miss. Evermore you know running in the hallways is against school policy."
"I don't have time for this Xavior but you will do, I was wandering around the castle aimlessly and came upon a crime Azalia Lestrange was murdered!"
Xaviors face went from flirty to serious in a matter of seconds.
"Take me to her right away, what did you see Alicia? Tell me on the way."
I was walking in the dungeons floors and heard a loud crash come from the old detention room and a robed man ran out and apparated before I got the chance to pull out my wand."
Headmaster Black was waiting by the door to the classroom.
"It seems you have some bad luck Alicia you seem to keep being dragged into these horrible atrocities that have happened as late. You are excused I don't think I need to tell you to keep this to yourself. I will let the rest of the students know of this loss after I inform her parents."
I nodded and made my leave feeling so conflicted I slowly began to make my way up to my dorm.
"Alicia let me escort you to your dorm you shouldn't be alone after what you witnessed." Xaviors baritone voice filled the air around me, irritation bubbled up. "Xavior I have seen more death than you ever will I'm not a delicate flower who needs protecting from the dark side of humanity. I can make my way on my own, but thanks for the uneeded and unwanted offer good day Headmaster Black."
I apparated into my dorm room sighing I kicked off my shoes and sat on the window seat looking out onto the grounds once again.
I wanted to drown myself in the sorrow but Azalias death had brought me back to reality about things that were far more important than my love interests. Innocent people were losing their lives and now with my ancient magic in control I could do my part to protect the wizarding community.
I had been selfish while people were dying, I sighed wishing I could have just been a normal witch. As I watched students move around the grounds groups of friends stood around and laughed and joked without a care in the world.
While I was up here trying to figure out how to get brought into The Pure investigation. The professors had told us to stay out of it, it was too dangerous even though I had shown I could end a goblin rebellion with little help.
My mind drifted to Xavior and a plan formed he had connections to the ministry, I could ask him to help or blackmail him into helping me get an in.
I know he would lose his position here if it had been known he had slept with a student.
Guilt did envelope me for having to do this, as much as he had a reputation he had never been unkind to me. He didn't deserve this but I knew it was what I had to do. Glancing at the clock it was almost time for dinner, I would corner Xavior in his office and give him his options.
I went to my closet and picked out a dark green dress the blouse was a semi sheer material that showed glimpses of my skin depending on how I moved.
The skirt of the dress was long but it fit to my form like a glove I placed my hair into a neat bun leaving a few tendrils to frame my face. I not only wanted to show Ominis what he gave up but I also needed to seduce Xavior into helping me without the need of blackmail.
I painted my lips a deep red and sent and owl to Xavior to meet me at his office after dinner, before I left my room.
I quickly made it to the great hall and fastly made my way over to our table snagging the open chair next to Natsai that was facing Ominis. "I hope everyones day went well I smiled as I leaned over to grab a serving of mashed potatos. Noticing Ominis's eyes finding the exposed parts of me his eyes flared with lust.
My day was rather eventful it seems so much has changed."
Annes arm suddenly wrapped it's self around Ominis's arm as she rested her head on Ominis's shoulder.
"My day went well I'm finally caught up in potions thanks to this guy next to me." The way she smiled at him opened my fresh wounds, I had hoped she would feel sympathy for me and not rub it in my face that she was the one he wanted.
But they were to caught up to think about anyone else. I submerged into a conversation with Natsai and Garreth for the remaining part of dinner.
I quickly made my goodbyes and quickly made my way to the tower that held the professors offices.
My heartbeat became an insufferable drum as I drew closer to Xaviors office.
I took a deep breath and peaked into the window he was leaned up against the desk his his jet black hair was ruffled as if he had repeatidly raked his hands through it. His tie was loosened and a few of the buttons on his shirt were undone. My mind flashed back to last nights events between us and I could feel my desire grow with the images that had ensnared my mind.
Quickly I shook those memories off I doubt he would ever want to lay a hand on me ever again after this night.
I softly opened the door and walked towards him the click of my heels alerted him to my presence, his eyes raked over me and I could see the hunger in his eyes.
"Thank you for meeting me Headmaster Black I hope I'm not inconviencing you in anyway.
I move closer sitting on the desk across from him, fully knowing the dim lighting above me made my green blouse almost transparent.
His voice was husky when he replied "Not at all Miss Evermore it's always a pleasure when you gift me with your presense. He leaned over me putting his arms on each side of me placing his hands on the table.
What can I do for you?"
