Carolyn

"What's wrong?" Jeremy asked when I came back.

He wiped away a tear I never knew I shed. I turned away from him.

"Carolyn."

I shook my head and bit the inside of my lower lip. Jeremy took my right hand and turned my head towards him.

"Baby. Please?"

"She, she doesn't trust you." I said.

"What?"

Alice came back and sat down across from us.

"So, um, I have to get back to work. It was great seeing you Carolyn. Very nice to meet you too Jinxx."

She stood up and gave me a hug and waved to Jeremy before throwing away her ice cream and left. Jeremy wrapped an arm around my shoulders and grabbed my hand. He kissed the side of my head.

"Can you please tell me more?" He asked and kissed my head again.

"She just said that she didn't trust you guys. Then I told her about how you would never hurt me, and how you have been going through some things too. Then I told her if she can't accept the fact that we're friends, then I can't be friends with her anymore."

He kissed me again. I kissed back, then pulled away a minute later. I noticed he was looking towards the boys who were checking me out earlier.

"C'mon. We better go find the guys." he said.

We stood up and left. Of course, Jeremy had to stare at the boys as we walked past them. We walked down the street and found Andy.

"Hey Andy." Jeremy said.

"Hey Jinxx." he said. "Jake, CC, and Ashley are in there. CC, and Ashley are jamming out. Jake is teaching a kid a few tricks on the guitar. And I was about to go find you guys."

"It looks like we found you first." Jeremy said and laughed a little. God I love his laugh.

We went inside the music store and I heard the familiar sound of the bass part and drum beat of Fallen Angels. Jeremy and I grabbed a guitar and started playing along with Ashley and CC. I started singing when we played the chorus, but quietly. I didn't notice they stopped playing, but I was still playing along and singing.

"To those who sing alone,
no need to feel the sorrow,
We scream,
we shout whoa,
We are the fallen angels!"

I stopped playing when I noticed they stopped playing. I looked up and saw everyone staring at me.

"What?" I said.

"Your voice is amazing." Ashley said.

"Really?" I said.

"Have you ever listened to yourself singing?" Andy said.

"No."

"For gods sake!" Jeremy said. "You've been working in the music business for what three years? And you've never came in late at night and recorded yourself?"

"I never thought of that."

"C'mon. Lets get back to the bus where the equipment is. We're going to record your voice." Jeremy said.

We left and got in the van and it took us to where the tour bus was located. Jeremy pulled me onto the bus and to the back room.

~~~~~~~
"Do you guys want to hear Carolyn's official cover for Ritual?" Jeremy said.
They all nodded their heads. I hit play and the intro to Ritual started playing. When the song ended, everyone kept saying how great of a singer I am.
"Okay, okay!" I said. "I get it! You think I'm amazing. That's fine. I just think I'm not professional enough."
"You're sounding like Juliet before she tried out for The Voice." Andy said.
I rolled my eyes at him. I stood up from where I was sitting and grabbed my jacket before storming off the bus and going up to Jeremy and I's hotel room. I went into the bathroom and wiped the eyeliner off of my eyes before jumping into the shower. I got out ten minutes later and threw on a pair of shorts and a shirt. I climbed into the bed Jeremy and I were sharing. I snuggled into the warm blankets before falling asleep.
~~~~~~~

I heard the door close at around one in the morning. I heard Jeremy stumble into the bed and wrap his arms around my waist.

"Just so you know, if your mad at me, or the others, please don't storm off like that. I hate it when you just leave. I worry about you Carolyn. If anything ever happened to you, . . god . . . I think - I know I would die." I felt him kiss my head. "Please don't be mad."

I slowly opened my green eyes to be met by blue ones.

"I'm not mad." I told him.

"Your not?"

I shook my head. "I'm sorry for storming off like that. I just don't like it when people criticize me, and that's exactly how I felt when Andy started comparing me to Juliet."

"I'm sorry for the guys to act like dick heads." He kissed me. "Just don't storm off like that again. Carson can be anywhere and he could have raped you on the spot."

"Okay." I kissed him.

"Night Carolyn."

"Night Jeremy."

I curled up into him and slowly drifted off to sleep.
