I gathered my bags after a quick meal with my family and made my way out to the driveway. My angst-filled black Jeep is waiting eagerly for me there. I slid into the driver's seat after unlocking the door with a feeling of anticipation. While I gazed around my car, I impatiently drummed my fingers on the steering wheel. Verene will give it a makeover later on. How fortunate am I to have another date with her today? We only met yesterday, but I can't get enough of her. I'd take her out on a date every day if I could. But for now, I'll make sure she has a good time and doesn't regret her decision from yesterday.

"By the way, may utang ka pang date sa'kin." She looked at me with a confused look. "You said that we're going to shop together for my necessities in my car."

"Ah, the containers." She nodded slowly while taking another chip.

"Shall we do it tomorrow? Let's have a date again."

I watch as she cleans her fingers with her handkerchief. How can someone be so beautiful just by doing that?

"Date? Do you mean shopping?" She had this playful on her face.

I amusingly smiled at her. "Yes, a date." I pointed to her, then back to me. "You and me."

"Kaya nga, we will do shopping tomorrow."

"Okay, scheduled na ah? Tomorrow may date tayo." Inunahan ko na siya nang mapansin na aangal siya. "Ikaw na nagsabi na tomorrow, so tomorrow it is."

Napailing ito. "You got me there."

"Ako lang 'to." I smirked before I opened another bag of chips.

"I can't wait to see her. What if sunduin ko na siya ngayon pa lang?"

Good idea. Well for me, but not for her. For sure, she doesn't want to be interrupted in her studies, especially at school. Kung sa kwarto niya baka pwede pa. Pagtiya-tiyagaan ko na lang muna mga klase ko ngayon tutal kaunti lang naman.

Nang makarating sa school ay agad akong dumiretso sa parking lot. Tanghali na nang makarating ako sa school kaya wala na masyadong estudyante sa school grounds. Parang tinamad tuloy ako bigla, should I just go somewhere while waiting for her dismissal?

Nah, dapat sabayan ko rin mag-aral si Verene.

Malapit na ko sa usual parking space ko nang may mapansin akong babaeng nakatayo sa tabi no'n. Bumagal ang takbo ko nang mapagtanto kung sino, kahit nakatalikod ito, kilalang-kilala ko kung sino siya.

Iaatras ko na sana ang kotse ko nang mapalingon ito sa gawi ko.

"Rivian!"

She smiled like a sign of relief. At the same time, may pag-aalinlangan sa mukha niya.

Napa igtad ako nang may bumusina mula sa likod ko.

"Shit." May naka sunod pala sa'kin.

Walang nagawang nag-park ako sa pwesto ko palagi. I looked outside of my window and I saw her patiently waiting for me. What should I do with her? Hindi ba siya nakaramdam nung nakaraan na ayaw ko na siyang makita?

I took a deep breath before I got my bag and went out of the car.

"Rivian, can we talk?" Tanong niya pero nilagpasan ko lang siya. "Baby, please?"

I halted in my tracks at marahas na lumingon sa kaniya. "Can you leave me alone?"

"Just give me a few minutes of your time." She tried to hold my hand pero agad akong umiwas. "Rivian." Bakas ang lungkot sa boses nito. Pansin ko rin ang mga namumuong luha sa gilid ng kaniyang mata.
