"No! Please, my love, please, wake up! plea-!" I hear a low mumble and my vision starts to fade: "My love! Wait, Avril, please wake up-" I held her shoulders at niyugyog ito, nagbabakasakali na magising siya.

I almost fainted as I heard the machine beeping and the line became straight. Binalik ko ang tingin kay Avril at nanginginig na hinawakan ang kamay niya. My eyes welled up as I felt her icy hand.

"Avril, don't leave me. Please-"

"--Wake up!" It was blurry. I couldn't see who was calling me.

​Sinubukan kong i-steady ang tingin upang masilayan ang babaeng nakatingin sa'kin ngayon habang marahan na tinatapik ako sa balikat.

"Hey, are you okay?" I didn't respond to the concerned woman who was speaking in front of me and asking me if I was okay. Instead, I immediately stood up to check on Avril. Natataranta na binalingan ito ng tingin.

"Wait! Avril! Where's......Avril?" Humina ang boses ko ng makita siya. She's still lying down, peaceful in her slumber.

Nakahinga ako ng maluwag nang mapagtanto ko na isang panaginip lang pala yung kanina. Napahawak pa ako sa dibdib ko to catch my breath.

If only I could be in her dreams and tell her to wake up, so I could see her brighter self. I miss her so dearly.

I felt a hand lightly holding my shoulder to get my attention.

"Are you okay?" Tanong niya nang magtagpo ang tingin namin.

Hindi ko maiwasan na pasadahan siya ng tingin. She's wearing fitted pants with a flowery off-shoulder blouse. Hindi rin naman nagtagal nang pasadahan din ako ng tingin.

I wonder who she is. Might be one of Avril's friends.

"Yes, thank you for waking me up." I politely uttered and offered my hand. "I'm Léonce."

​She stared at my hand for a second before slowly taking it. "I'm Shaye."

I hid my shock as I heard her name. I smiled but it didn't reach my ears. Pagkatapos magbitaw ang mga kamay namin, humarap ako kay Avril. We didn't say anything as the uneasiness consumed us.

What is she doing here?

"I'm confused." She said in between silence. "How come you're here?"

Hinarap ko siya at confused niyang itsura ang bumungad sa'kin. Halata sa mukha niya ang pagtataka dahil siguro nakarating rin sa kaniya ang balitang patay na ako.

"As you can see, I'm still alive." Her brows met. "It was merely false information."

She nodded but her face was still puzzled. Lumipat siya sa kabilang side ni Avril tsaka hinawakan ang kamay nito. Hindi ko napigilan ang mapataas ang isang kilay ko.

When I see their hands together, I have a lot going on in my thoughts. Even though she was Avril's ex-girlfriend, I felt threatened. What if Avril wakes up this time and completely forgets about me? Ang naaalala na lang niya si Shaye? Makakaya ko ba? Could I accept them getting back together? Kaya ko ba na makita si Avril na masaya, but she is happy because of Shaye and not me?
