WARNINGS: Suicidal Ideations; Mentions of Suicide Attempt

Dean sat at the edge of the cliff, looking over the view. The thought of jumping entertained his thoughts. But he already knew what was to come of that. He's done it before after all. It never killed him.

"Dean Salvatore."

Dean turned around as he felt a dangerous presence behind him. He stared at himself. Except the side of him had black eyes and a sadistic smirk. Dean had began to call him Deamon. It was easier to address him that way.

"You're in pain," Deamon said, stalking up to him, "I can feel it. It's overwhelming you."

Dean stepped away from the cliff edge.

"Why show up now of all times," Dean scolded.

"I can feel your pain," Deamon said, "Why else? These emotions are the very thing to trigger me. You and I both know that don't we?"

"Not now," Dean said, walking past him.

"I can help you," Deamon said, "I can bring you justice, peace, and so much more. Just let me out..."

"No," Dean said.

"But you want to," Deamon said, "Your family has been wronged. You want revenge. Tell me, my precious hunter. Do you wish to hurt those who have hurt you?"

Dean clenched his fists and took a deep breath.

"I..."

"Don't fall for it."

Dean looked up to see someone he's never seen before enter his dream. Deamon scowled at the man as if he knew him.

"Who the hell are you," Dean asked, narrowing his eyes.

"My name is Charles," Charles said, "I knew your mother..."

"Mary?"

"Your biological mother, Dean," Charles said, "I knew her. She asked me personally to smother that dark side of you. She knew the danger it held. Only recently have I noticed you awakened it."

"Are you some kind of vampire," Dean asked, "You look awfully young to know my mother."

"I have friends that helped with keeping me a bit young in appearance," Charles smirked.

"Look, Charles or whatever," Dean said, walking past him, "I don't know you..."

"Damon Salvatore," Charles said, making him freeze, "He's your father. There's a reason he doesn't speak about your mother."

"So you're telling me you're the reason I was adopted by John Winchester," Dean asked.

"I'm the reason you're still alive," Charles said, "John Winchester was not my decision."

"Still alive?"

"Your blood is sacred," Charles said, "Not only to Supernatural creatures but also to others... Like me."

"So you want to drain me as well?"

"Not at all," Charles said, "I want to see you thrive. I gave a promise to your mother after all."
