It was getting rather late in the office but I needed to cover as much work as possible since we would be leaving for Seoul the next morning. The babysitter called me to keep me updated about Jung Hee. I was getting ready to leave and while checking out everything for the nth time, I heard a knock on the door. It was Jane.
"So, are you done for the day?" She asked as she checked out her phone.
"Hmmm....I think so, even though there's a lot left to do, I need to get home asap otherwise I will have to endure a very pouty face all evening." I smiled as I thought about my son.
"Awww...come on, that kid is the cutest. He's the spitting image of his father." She commented, fangirling over the Jeon handsome genes.
"Tell me about it." I replied back, with a very long sigh.
"Have you considered the eventuality of letting Jungkook know he has a five year old son? Now that you're going back to Seoul, I mean." She asked nervously, her hands playing with the hem of her shirt, almost apologetic to have ever asked such a question.
"The fact that I'm going back to Seoul, doesn't change anything. It's just work." I turned my back on her as I spoke, afraid that my face would betray my words.
"Uh-huh. And I'm the Queen of Everything." She replied. I refrained myself from commenting further to an already sceptical Jane whom, by the way, has been giving me the third degree all week asking me about Jungkook but, mostly, about Taehyung.
"Let's get home and have a good night sleep. We need to leave early in the morning." I really just wanted to go home and snuggle in the couch with my son. Especially, after an eventful day like this. The curiosity about seeing Jungkook after such a long time was eating me alive but, I would never admit it to Jane. She would never let me live.
I finally made it home. It was a total mess but I decided to ignore it and enjoy my evening. I was searching around, looking for a small figure I had been missing all day. Right then, he started running towards me.
"Hi, baby! How did it go today?" I kneeled in front of him, opening my arms wide.
"Hi, mommy." He jumped straight away, anchoring himself to my body as he rested his head on my shoulder.
"Are you happy we're going to visit gramps tomorrow?" I asked while I patted his back. Excited, he jumped out of my embrace.
"Yeeeeyyyy..." He started running around the living room. At least, one of us is excited, I thought to myself.

...

After a long flight, we made it to Incheon. I was trying not to think too far ahead. Otherwise, I would get ovewhelmed really fast, really soon. I needed to keep a clear head, especially now. The meeting with Jungkook was fixed for tomorrow morning. I had the whole night to prepare myself.
"Y/n, everything good?!" Jane asked, seeing me immersed in my own world. She kept scrutinizing my expression thoroughly.
"So far, so good. I'm so happy you're here with me." I said, giving her a genuine smile. I was sincirely grateful not to be alone, especially now.
"I'm happy I could be of any help. And I've always wanted to visit Seoul." She answered, a little bit too fired up, considering the long flight.
"Yeah, Seoul, sureeee..."I replied, winking at her.
"Hey, it's true!" She was trying to hide her embarrassment but doing a lousy job at it.
"Oh, there's Min Ha. Heyyyy..."
I waved like a lunatic as soon as I saw my big sis. She waved back at us as soon as noticed me in the midst of the crowd.
"You're finally here! I swear, I still can't believe it. Let's get you home. Dad is waiting impatiently."
And she hugged me so tightly. For the first time, I was glad to be home.

"Tae, did you send the limo to the airport to pick up Miss Lee and Miss Jung. You know how important it is that we make an impression on them." I asked Taehyung for updates.
"About that...Last week, I sent Miss Jung the details but she refused, saying they would handle everything on their own and not to worry about anything. And they will meet with us here, tomorrow morning." Taehyung shrugged, not knowing what else to say.
"Sorry but, if you ask me, this is getting weirder by the day. What's with all the secrecy, anyway." I tapped the pen on my desk, staring off into space.
"The plot thickens." Taehyung said in a dramatic tone while narrowing his eyes. This guy and his sense of humor.
"Well, tomorrow we'll find out, I guess. It's just that..." Taehyung interrupted me concluding the phrase, in my stead.
"...you hate surprises!" He said in a monotonous tone of voice, mimicking me. I sent him a death glare, without budging him in the slightest. I just hated that he knew me so well.

Jane and I were in front of Min Corp. I felt like Frodo in front of the gates of Mordor.
"Y/n, come on! A clean cut, remember?!" She tried to encourage me but I was totally out of it.
"It's just that the old cut hasn't healed yet, and I'm here getting a new one. How ironic!" I replied, mostly to myself.
We approached the front desk to announce our arrival. Everyone was already on the move. Apparently, Jungkook ran things very tightly around here.
After the receptionist made a phone call, we were accompanied to the elevator.
My heart was pounding inside my chest so loudly. So loud that it was all I could hear. I even feared I'd faint right there, inside the elevator, making a fool of myself.
Only when I got out of the elevator I realized Jane was holding my arm tightly, probably afraid I might fall. Jane, my Samwise Gamgee. As soon as we got out, I finally managed to inhale some oxygen. I hadn't collected myself properly when I heard someone address us with a firm but polite tone of voice.
"Mr. Jeon is waiting for you. This way, please. I'm Mr. Jeon's secretary, Mrs. Cha, nice to meet you both." She bowed to us as we bowed back.
"Sir," I heard her say,
"Miss Lee and Miss Jung are here."
"Let them in, please." He replied. As soon as I heard his voice I was about to break down in tears. My head started spinning and my lungs stopped working. I didn't know what to think. I even thought of running away. After what looked like a lifetime, his secretary opened the door to let us in. In that moment, I thought my legs would fail me. No amount of time would have prepared me for this. Jungkook's eyes widened in pure disbelief. To say he was shocked would be the understatement of the year. Taehyung, whom was staying beside him, was left open-mouthed and couldn't move his eyes from my figure.
"Hey, stranger."
I greeted him with a faint smile.
