FLASHBACK

JK pov

Y/n had been avoiding me all week, under the excuse of feeling unwell. She didn't even show up in class or reply to my messages which, I deemed totally normal, considering how I had shaken her perfectly organized world. However, I kept sending her all the various lesson notes, followed by
"In case you need them. Day 1 of missing you. JK"
She needed time to process and, come to terms with her own feelings. One thing I was finally sure of it's that, her attraction to me, was totally reciprocal. There was no going back now. My situation, was as messed as hers, if not worse. Here I was, at my home gym, boxing out of my mind the image of Namjoon touching her body and kissing her lips. Just the thought, made me go crazy; like that day, at the Kim mansion. I went wild on the punching bag, thinking it was Namjoon. Right now, Y/n, was the only one keeping my sanity intact since, at home, things had been falling apart for a while now. And, Taehyung was the only outsider who knew that, the once great Jeon empire, was on the brink of collapse. To make matters worse, my father's health was deteriorating exponentially.

Y/n pov

The evening before Namjoon's departure for the States, Taehyung had begged us to attend the karaoke evening he had organized on behalf of the university. I had been moody all week and tried to avoid physical intimacy with Namjoon, because of everything that happened. Namjoon's departure was really going to be our relationship's test bench and right now, it was already cracking under the weight of my doubts and guilt. But the scariest thing would be, staying alone with Jungkook. This morning, I had insisted to spend the evening alone with Namjoon, just the two of us. I couldn't bare to see Jungkook after what happened at the mansion. He would remind me that, emotionally, I was at his mercy. I wasn't ready to face my demon(s) just yet. I, cowardly, had called sick all week in order to avoid him but, after Taehyung's insistence and, I-dare-you-say-no-to-the-TataMic-face, we decided to join in. When I entered the venue, I wowed to myself. These kids really took things next level, I had to give it to them. There was also a grand piano sitting regally at the side of the room. I also noticed other instruments like guitars and drums. This was also used as a practice room for various instrument learning courses.
"This feels more like a concert, rather than a karaoke night." I exclaimed out loud.
"Told ya!" Taehyung winked at me.
"Your impeccable taste and organization skills never fail to surprise me." I said, smiling at him.
"It's been such a long time we haven't been at one." Jimin added, while dancing to an imaginary music. He was such an amazing dancer, it was a sight for sore eyes.
"Not that I missed them." Namjoon said, right behind me.
"You're such a spoilsport. Let's just mingle and enjoy the evening." Taehyung was trying to cheer up his mood when, all of a sudden, his gaze turned to the other side of the room and his face lit up like a child who had just been given a candy.
"Maaan, I can't believe what I'm seeing. He never comes to these kind of things." We all turned around to look at where Taehyung's eyes were pointing at.
"Great! Just great." Namjoon's mood fell further as he watched Jungkook approach us.
Jimin was amused by Jungkook's unexpected show up and Namjoon was getting sour by the second. I, on the other hand, was speechless. My heart rate started going wild and not knowing what to do, I took away the cup from Jimin's hands. He stared wide at me but didn't protest.
"Dude, now this is what I call a surprise." Taehyung almost fangirling over him.
"There's always a first time for everything. Right, Y/n?! I see you're finally doing okay." He said, staring at me. I just nodded. Namjoon's eyes were fixed on my figure.
"Taehyung told me you had never done this kind of thing, before." He asked, tilting his head a little bit.
"Sorry, what?!" I felt from the clouds, almost dropping the cup in my hand. "Being in a place like this, I mean." He smirked at me, pretending Namjoon didn't exist. Hearing Jungkook engage in conversation with me, Namjoon put an arm around my shoulders and pulled me closer to him. Jungkook rolled his eyes and shook his head. Then, he huffed.
"Tae and his big mouth. Why am I not surprised." Namjoon muttered to himself.
"Oh, come on. You have a great voice, Kookie. I love hearing you sing." Taehyung said with so much pride, it was actually heartwarming.
"He's the most talented person I know." Taehyung turned around to face me and show me off Jungkook's singing skills.
"Dude, stop it! It's embarassing." I had never seen Jungkook so flustered. His bunny smile was adorable, I felt the need to cup his cheeks. God, I had missed him. What was going on with me?! I mentally slapped myself. I needed to come back to my senses, before anyone noticed.
"Since you're here, you have to sing a song, c'mon." While Taehyung was practically begging him to sing, Jimin added.
"As if women weren't drooling enough over him, already. Imagine if they heard him sing." Taehyung and Jimin started chuckling at each other. Jungkook was staring at me while I started looking around, trying to avoid his gaze. Then, I realized, they were totally checking him out, shamelessly. Ughhh...these whores. Wait, was I being jealous?!
"Maybe later." His enthusiasm slacked off when he saw Namjoon give me a peck on the lips. I tried to sip from my cup, in order to avoid it but Namjoon was set on on kissing me in front of Jungkook.
"C'mon, he can't be good at everything." Namjoon was trying to get back at him, feeling a bit smug from Jungkook's reaction to the kiss.
"Don't start a game you can't win. You're going to regret it later, hyung." Taehyung shook the head at Namjoon. Upon hearing Namjoon, Jungkook took the dare and asked Taehyung to sign him next. Before going up on the stage, he eyed Namjoon in a mock challenge and then, turned his gaze to me and smiled. I held his gaze long enough to not make it look suspicious. He reached the piano at the corner of the room, sat down and adjusted the mic. The whole room fell silent, waiting for him to sing. I heard Namjoon huff behind my ear. Taehyung eyed Jimin whom, was also shaking his head, not in a very encouraging way. The moment he started playing, I couldn't believe what I was listening to. I recognized the song just after a few notes.
