As soon as we woke up the next morning, I decided it was time to check on our parents.
I texted Cady.
Hey how's the 'rents?
Well Star's parents are worried sick, but fine. Liz's are concerned if she's eating well, but also fine. Ashley's are hoping she's enjoying herself and are fine. Your mom's been working her ass off, and is also fine.
I noticed she hadn't said anything about my mom wondering about me.
Typical.
Thanks chick. We all send our love.
Me and Shayne miss and love y'all too! Text me whenever and have fun.
I rolled out of bed, and was amazed that the room was empty. We were all basically inseparable, which meant there was only one place they could be.
I took a quick shower and threw on some jeans, a tee shirt, and left my hair the wet mess it was. I didn't even put on shoes, just made my way to the buffet downstairs.
I knew there would be 3 hungry teenage girls sitting somewhere down there.
As soon as the elevator doors opened, I saw them, and they saw me.
Ashely was up in a flash, running with her arms open to give me a hug. We both grunted on impact (a thing we do) and I said good morning to everyone.
They all said it back and Liz waved me to sit next to her.
"I'm gonna get food first," I said.
"Hurry, because she's about to spill what happened to her last night," Star said.
I nodded and rushed to get all my food.
This was gonna be great.
I slid in next to Liz and nodded for her to speak.
"Alright so I guess you've all been wondering what happened to me, so I'll give you the juicy stuff."
We all shouted for her to continue, and she jumped.
"God, okay. Well, Chris came early, which would have been irritating if he hadn't of brought me flowers. Anyways, thank God I was ready early. We went down to this little abandoned building where he really had outdone himself. There were lights, candles, rose petals, and a table cloth for Christ's sake. I mean he set it up so beautiful... so I thought. The middle of dinner, this couple comes barging into the place, mad as hell we were there. Turns out, it was supposed to be their romantic dinner, not ours."
We all gasped and I couldn't help it.
I laughed way harder than I should have.
The other girls looked at me like I'd lost my mind, and that's when Liz joined in.
Soon enough, all of us were laughing our butts off, and couldn't hardly breath.
"I'm crying," I said as soon as we had all calmed down. "He really stole someone else's date right out from under them?"
Liz erupted in giggles again, and finally told us the rest.
"Yeah, and oddly enough I found it kinda romantic. After we ran our asses out of there, we got a little lost until we found the city lights again. The whole cab ride I was silent while he wouldn't shut up with the sorrys. Finally, once we reached the hotel, I did exactly what you did," she said nudging me.
"You laughed at him?" Star asked, trying to hold down another round of giggles. Liz nodded.
"I tried so hard the whole cab ride to be mad, but I just couldn't. You should have seen his face when I started laughing. Then, he walked me to the door, and I told him thank you."
"Thank you. You said THANKS?" Ashely gaped.
"Of course! I had never had a guy try more to impress me more then stealing someone else's perfect date. Plus, the food was great," she replied.
I still had one question unanswered.
"Okay, well then why was your lipstick all messed up when you came in?"
"I did more than just SAY thank you," she said with a huge grin.
We all busted out laughing again, not being able to be quiet.
"Okay, now tell me about all of your dates. I shouldn't be the one with all the glory ALL the time," Liz said with an edge of sarcasm.
I didn't think ANYONE knew they could top hers.
