"I had a feeling you would be here." I state, stepping into Rathma's chambers. There she was, crouched next to Rathma's corpse. "You knew him well, did you not?" I say, stepping up beside her.
She sighs and turns towards me. "He was my brother. I didn't know he was left to rot like this. I heard rumors of what had happened. That's why I came to you for answers. I knew a student of Rathma would know the truth."
"I'm trying to find answers myself. I knew you'd come here. I have many questions of my own. I know you're a demon, but you're also Rathma's sister." I think for a moment. "You're the daughter of Lilith and Inarius, aren't you?"
"Yes, I am. However, I didn't grow up here like Rathma did."
"I assumed so. I never heard about you until now. Rathma had a key to Hell. Because of Inarius' ignorance, Lilith now has that key. Inarius killed him because he wouldn't give the Angel the key to Hell." I say, crossing my arms. "I don't agree with Inarius' actions, but I don't want to get mixed up in all of this. Do what you will with that information."
A dark look crosses Iridith's face. "I'll kill him." She states, standing up from beside Rathma's corpse. "Rathma didn't deserve this."
"You want to kill an Angel?"
"That's what us demons do, isn't it?" Iridith says.
"I suppose it is." I say, a slight hint of disgust in my voice. "You're only solution is murder."
"Sometimes that's the only solution you need." I look to the left as a small guy steps out of the shadows. "Best watch where you're stepping, necromancer." He says, flipping a dagger and catching it again.
"Kairav." Iridith says, looking at the man. "It's fine. I can handle this."
"I don't doubt that." Kairav says. "But I wouldn't mind stabbing him a few times, if need be." I cross my arms. "I could kill him before he had enough time to raise the dead."
"You've no idea what I can do." I state. Kairav flips the knife and catches it in his other hand. "I don't have time for these games." I say turning away from Kairav and Iridith. "Murder isn't the answer."
"I think it is." Kairav says. I sigh then fall to the ground as a sharp object hits me square in the back. I growl and stand up. I turn towards Kairav just as he throws another knife.
I shift form, feeling myself become weightless. The knife hits the wall behind me. The one that was buried in my back falls to the ground. I shift back into a solid form, my wound instantly healed.
I feed on the dead energy around me as a spear of bone forms around my arm. I shoot it at Kairav. He dodges out of the way and throws another knife. I duck.
Kairav and I throw attacks at each other for a few moments, neither of us could hit the other.
Iridith steps forward and stomps on the ground. A wave of power hits Kairav and I. We both hit the wall hard. "Enough." Iridith says, crossing her arms. "Stay out of this, Vexel. My business with Inarius is my own." She then looks at Kairav. "And you need to quit picking fights with everyone you meet."
"Fine, Iridith." Kairav says, sheathing his two swords. "You're not a bad fighter." He glances at me.
"I don't really care what you think of me." I state. "But you're not that bad either."
"I'm going to assume that's a compliment coming from you. Necromancers were never the type to talk like a normal person." I turn and look at Iridith.
"Do what you will to Inarius. I don't care for the Angel but I don't want to get caught in the middle of your quarry."
