Vexel POV

Mazavir had surprised me. I didn't think he was capable of seeing me again, much less of his own free will. Maybe it wasn't him, Vayle was with him. Even so, I had peeked into his mind while he was vulnerable. I don't think there's a word for how much I terrified him. He not only found me, he also asked me to teach him necromancy.

"You're lost, Vexel." Her voice says from behind me. "I see it in your eyes, your posture. This new... revelation has taken over your mind." I feel her hands on my shoulders, her nails rubbing against my skin.

"No, Lilith." I state, pulling away from her. Her hands fall and interlock in front of her. She smiles at me. "You deceived me. You're the one who put me here."

Her face twists in disgust. "You've spoken with my father."

"You knew I would discover what you did." I growl. "Yet you tried to manipulate me into helping you destroy the prime evils. You wanted to use me and destroy me in the end as well."

"You're not a prime evil, Vexel." She states, taking a step closer to me. "You're something more... something unique. You have free will, you can make your own decisions. You don't have to be tied to Hell. You don't have to be my children's torturer."

"I'm not, you are. You're banished from Sanctuary by Inarius." I cross my arms. "You have no right to be there."

"And you do?" She laughs. "You are worse then me. You're vile, a torturer of my children. Mazavir is living proof of that. That is why I must destroy my father... and you."

"You are still a demon." I point out. "You're the spawn of Hatred. The daughter of Mephisto. Your children will never accept you, just as I never will."

Her face changes into anger and she lashes out at me. I step back, anticipating the attack. My bones crackle as I shift form, power taking hold on me.

Once I shift, I grab her wing, ripping it from her body. She screams in agony, jumping away from me. I toss her wing to the ground.

She jumps at me, slashing a clawed hand through the air. I try to move, but I still wasn't used to the size of my prime evil form.

She lacerates my tattered wings. I growl, clawing at her myself. She was faster then me and easily dodges the attack.

I jump, landing on top of her. Seething, I grab her with my claws. "Let's find out what I can really do." I growl, my voice sounding distorted and angry. It didn't feel like me.

I grip onto her thoughts, pulling myself within. I shift through her thoughts and memories, finding something to pick at.

Inarius. Her would be lover, the Angel she formed an alliance with.

"Get out of my thoughts." I hear her voice, loud and clear. Suddenly I am shoved, my back hits a protruding rock. Groaning and surprised, I get back up.

"I already have what I need." I state, using my power to create phantoms of Inarius. They were harmless, but she reacts nonetheless. She claws at them, slashing with her wing. She even causes spikes to come out of the ground, striking her target. I laugh, her attention shifts to me. "You called me your children's torturer." I state. "They're not who I want to torture."

I jump towards her, landing right in front of her. Her face was twisted with anger. She slices her wing through the air, but it wasn't really me. I had sent a phantom of myself forwards. Confused and dazed, she looks around frantically.

"You're weak, Vyriviz! Hiding behind your illusions!" She growls, still attacking the harmless phantoms.

"I don't need to be strong to defeat you, Lilith." I state. "Your own memories and feelings are doing that for me." I shift form again, taking the form of Inarius. Her eyes lock with mine.
