Vexel POV
"We should talk about this." Ezara crosses her arms. I had no idea where Mazavir and Vayle had gone after the distraught necromancer had left. "You can't make decisions like that without talking to me and the others about it. When we came here, we all said we'd make decisions like this together."
"I'm still a necromancer, Ezara. They need my help. If I'm to really show humans I'm just like them, I need to help them in their times of need. I need to prove to the necromancers that I'm not who they think I am." I put my hand on Ezara's shoulders. "I think it's time Mazavir sees where I learned necromancy. He will have access to knowledge we don't have here. It'll be good for him to go as well. You took her side just moments ago. I know you're not against the decisions."
Ezara sighs. "I just want you to take others opinions before agreeing to something like this. Let's find Vayle and Mazavir." She turns and walks back through the doorway. We quickly find Vayle and Mazavir. They were talking by the sparing area we had set up.
Ezara catches them up on what happened with the distraught necromancer. "Necropolis?" Mazavir asks. "Is it really a good idea to go there?"
"I won't go." Vayle states. "I think they'd want to see me even less then you, Vexel. No offense."
"You don't have to go. I can take care of this on my own. The offer is there if you want to come." I say, glancing at Ezara.
"I'll go. I'm sure they can use all the help they can get." She says with a slight smile.
"I'm not going back." Vayle says. "You should go though, Maz. It'll help you to know more necromancers. It can get boring fighting the same person."
"Vayle is right." I state. "While I'm dealing with these vampires, you can learn more from the necromancers there. I can introduce you to some of my old friends there."
Mazavir just nods. I could tell he was skeptical about it. "Alright. I'll go too."
~~~~~~~~
Mazavir looks around, a surprised look on his face. "I've never seen anything like this." He says. "It's so... beautiful but in a dark, decaying way." I understood what he meant. I felt the same way when I first came here. There were vines crawling across broken stones. The place was shadowed beneath a canopy of trees. It was hidden by nature.
"You shouldn't be here, Vexel." A voice states. "You belong in Hell."
"I figured you'd say that, Morkil." I say into the shadows. My voice bounces back to us. "You haven't hunted me down or tried to kill me. You know you're outmatched."
"Perhaps you're right." The voice responds. Morkil walks into the light. His grey hair was slicked back and he was wearing is armor.
"You're the new Deathspeaker." I state, crossing my arms. "Leaving me alone is probably the smartest thing you've done. Velsha didn't make the same choice."
"You would be dead by now if it was fully my choice. The other necromancers wont fight you. Foolish of them, I'd say. You're more of a threat than the vampires." A confident look crosses his face.
Mazavir steps forwards. "You're an idiot if you think you can beat him." He gestures towards me.
"Leave, now." The necromancer states. "You have outdone your welcome, demon. I will end you myself if you return."
"Let's go then." I say to Ezara and Mazavir. "If I had knew he was the new Deathspeaker, I wouldn't have wasted my time coming here. He will not change his mind."
We leave Necroplis just like that. We pause on the outskirts of the city. Mazavir sits down on a vine covered rock. I could see the frustration on his face. I cross my arms.
