Vexel POV

"I've been meaning to speak with you, Vexel." I pause. I knew that voice, or at least someone with a similar voice.

I sigh. "Lilith." I state. "I already know what you're going to say, I will not join you." She was silent for a moment, probably preparing her speech telling me why I should join her.

"You don't like him, Mazavir." She states. "So why do you train him? Doesn't that go against the Priests of Rathma? You detest him, you don't want to train him. I know more than you think."

"I don't care, demon. I will do as I please. I will train Mazavir if it helps us take you down." I turn towards the demon. We were alone, secluded. I had left the camp momentarily to gather firewood, and here she is. Of course she would find me when I was alone. "Why do you come here, to manipulate me?"

"Only to show you the truth, Vexel." She states. "Mazavir detests you as well. He is only willing to learn from you because I killed Lyzla. I killed her so Mazavir would realize what she is. I want him to know everyone betrays him, but I won't. You've betrayed him."

"It doesn't matter if I have or not." She crosses her arms behind her back. "I will not fall victim to your games."

"But you sense it, don't you? You are the very thing he hates. Mazavir will betray you if you don't betray him. He has planned to kill you from the start."

"Even if he wanted to, he couldn't." I growl. "I am stronger then him, I will always be."

"Vayle." She states. "I know about her and Mazavir. In fact, I told her to get close to him. She is only my pawn and she will do as I say."

"What do you mean? Vayle doesn't work with us. We know she is loyal to you." Lilith raises an eyebrow, taking a step towards me. Her tail makes a scraping sound as it moves along the ground.

"You don't know?" She says, almost mocking me. "She is getting close to Mazavir and she will destroy him."

"I've had enough, demon. Leave before I decide to end you here and now." I draw my sword.

"You won't fight me here." She states. "I know something you'll want to hear. About your powers. You know their origins, you simply refuse to believe it. It's been right in front of you this entire time."

"You know nothing of my powers."

"Oh, but I do." She says, walking closer to me. She was an arms length away. For some reason, I didn't pull away. Similar to when I was with Iridith, she felt familiar. Like home... "Your powers are demonic in nature. Have you ever wondered why?"

"Because I am a Nephalem." I state. "That is the only viable option. I am a Nephalem and I am meant to send you back to Hell. I'm one of the original Nephalem. I am stronger than you and you know it." Lilith shakes her head though. She places a finger on my chin, forcing me to look up at her.

"You know that isn't the truth." Lilith whispers. "You are stronger then me, but for a different reason. You aren't a Nephalem. You're... something more."

"No. You are wrong." I say, pulling away from her. I turn my back to her and sheathe my sword.

"You've been wondering what you are, Vyriviz." She says. I frown. "You know what you are. You've known what you are since you visited the witch. Whether or not you want to join the Eternal Conflict, you will join because of your true nature. What you are will drag you into this war eventually."

"You have no idea what I am." I growl. "You're trying to manipulate me and it won't work. Leave. Now." I hear shuffling but I don't turn around.

"Since you've joined the Priests of Rathma, balance hasn't been stable. You know this. The balance will be disrupted if a Prime Evil simply walks Sanctuary."
