Vexel POV

As Mazavir touches the water, I feel the air shift. It was as if a soft breeze had flowed into the room. I pause, turning around. I sensed someone behind me. I felt a familiar essence.

"Rathma." I state.

"Vexel." He says with a slight bow. "It is good to see you again. I can tell you have many questions."

I cross my arms. "After I left Necropolis, I searched for answers. In fact, that's why I left." I start. "I wanted to find who killed you. I wanted to avenge your death."

"Indeed." Rathma responds. "You have searched beyond Sanctuary for answers, and you found them. My murder was my father and still you chose not to pursue him."

"I knew it was unwise to bring the fight to an Angel." I respond. "I knew it wouldn't be worth the casualties."

"Still, you found friends within the chaos unfolding. You found Lilith plotting to open the gates to Hell and you stopped her." Rathma continues. "You learned of your true nature and still stopped Lilith."

"I've also discovered that I'm the very thing I hate. I'm not just a demon, I'm a prime evil." I sigh. "I'm what's disrupting balance."

"The realization of your true identity as a prime evil is a heavy burden to beat. But, Vexel, awareness is the first step towards balance. Your struggle against this revelation is a testament to your character."

"I fear this darkness, Rathma." I confess. "The power I posses, the potential chaos I bring. How can I protect balance when my very presence threatens it?"

"The strength you possess can be a force for equilibrium. Embrace your nature, but let it be a guiding flame rather than an unbridled inferno."

"I've killed people, Rathma. How can you still treat me like I'm your student. How can you treat me like I'm human?"

"Your humanity doesn't lie in what you are." Rathma says, taking a step closer to me. "It lies in the choices you make. You're unique, your path isn't predetermined; it's determined by the decisions you consciously undertake. You're not just this demon, you're also a human too."

"I've taken lives. I've killed your necromancers. How can you overlook that darkness?"

Rathma frowns. "Life and death are inherent to our existence. You're conflicted with the path you've chosen. You're navigating these shadows of your path. Your remorse tells me that you will learn from these mistakes."

I look away from Rathma. He's always been the only one who understood how I felt. I often confided in him when I needed help the most.

"Listen to them." Rathma states, gesturing where Ezara and Mazavir once were. They had disappeared when Rathma appeared. "Your connection to them is more then you think it is."

"Mazavir hates me." I say, glancing towards the glimmering pool. There was a frozen ripple where Mazavir had touched it. "He told me that himself. He hates me because I almost killed him."

"Share your fears with them." Rathma says, standing beside me. "Le them understand your conflicts. Mazavir doesn't understand you just as you don't understand him."

"I fear losing control just as I had before. I could kill them just as easily as I could kill anyone else."

"In recognizing this, you'll gain mastery over this fear. Mazavir is unsettled by your presence because he doesn't fully understand the conflicts you two have had."

"What about Ezara?" I ask, glancing at the space she stood before. "We shared an intimate moment."

"Ezara carries her own understanding and struggles. Intimate moments forge connections that transcend the physical. Share your fears with her as well, for in understanding, trust is nurtured. Bonds deepen not just in moments of joy, but through the shared weight of vulnerability." Rathma offers a slight smile. He then frowns. "However there is one thing. The reason the Undercity has opened itself to you."
