Nerd: You'll find someone one day, Crutchie. Just think about it: not being with someone now doesn't mean anything other than the fact that you know your worth, and that's a good thing.

Hotshot: I'm pretty sure I found a venue

Ike: really? Where?

Hotshot: at a really nice hotel, the Pearl
Hotshot: problem is, it's almost crazy expensive

Ike: oh. Do you have a price?

Hotshot: roughly a four year college tuition

Ike: I'm went to a CC so what does that look like

Hotshot: roughly 800,000 dollars

Ike: yeah there's no way we can afford that

Hotshot: I mean we can pay half right now
Hotshot: I would just have to work a lot more hours, and we'd have to ask for money from our parents

Ike: I can help pay too

Hotshot: I know mo ghrian
Hotshot: but I feel like you're already doing so much with preparation and planning
Hotshot: and there's also paying for food and finding someone to officiate and then other shit that's piling on top of it

"So, fuck the hotel venue", Ike declared, walking into his shared apartment, kicking the door closed and looking up from his phone. "There's other places."

Hotshot hummed, head against the back of the couch. Ike walked over to him and sat down, rubbing his thigh comfortingly. "This is a lot, huh?"

"It's a lot more than I expected", Hotshot admitted, chuckling lightly. "And there's no help from my parents, naturally."
