The following day at Jujutsu High, (Y/N) woke up to make breakfast and bring it over to her friend's room. The two girls ate together, and their day continued like any other, at least until Shoko got a call from Geto who vaguely explained their situation.

"(F/N)! Go find Geto, he's injured." Shoko said running to her friend.

"What? Where is he?" she asks, a worried expression on her face.

"On his way back from Tengen's territory. You'll be faster than him walking back." the short-haired girl replies.

(Y/N) nods and quickly makes her way out of the room. As soon as she reaches the outdoors, the young girl's feet leave the ground and she speeds up. After a few minutes, she sees him.

"Suguru!"

"(F/N)" he says while watching her land.

"Don't move." the girl instructs.

Geto silently watches as the cuts on his body start to heal.

"Ok, come on let's go." (Y/N) says, extending a hand to him.

"It's ok, I can walk just fine now."

"Suguru, I barely pay attention in any medical classes so I need Shoko to check up on you. It's not the time to be stubborn right now."

He just stands there for a few seconds before taking her hand. Cold. Although she had just used her powers, her hands were still cold. He'd forgotten that. She used to complain about it and Gojo would say that he'll warm them up for her with a teasing smile.

"What happened?" (Y/N)'s soft voice breaks the silence.

"We failed. She was killed."

He glances at her, expecting her to say something, anything. But she just gave a silent nod.

"I thought you'd ask about Satoru." Geto says quietly.

"Shoko's waiting too."

He couldn't tell if she was trying to change the subject or not, but at the moment that answer genuinely seemed valid.

Soon, the two of them got back to the school and were greeted by a worried Shoko. She checked up on the boy while he filled them up on everything that had happened.

"So where's Gojo now?" Shoko asks.

"He's.. That guy- He said he killed him."

The silence that followed was deafening.

"W-what..?" (Y/N) says, disbelief written all over her face. "There's no way.. I don't believe you, Satoru he- he can't..."

"I didn't see, so I can't be sure, but-"

"So he might still be alive?" she interrupts, staring into his eyes.

"(F/N)." Shoko says softly. "He might. We need to have faith. But don't get your hopes up too high. We don't know."

(Y/N) nods. The three of them just stayed there, in silence.

......

Geto was called away the next day and was told to go to a Star Religious Group facility. Once he got there and opened the doors, his eyes widened when he saw all the people there, applauding. And shock washed over him as he saw his friend. Gojo. He was standing there, holding a covered Riko.

"Satoru, is that you? What happened?"

Those words came out so quietly.

"I see you've already been healed." Gojo says.

"Yeah, I'm fine now." he pauses, his tone turning harsh. "Me being safe doesn't help anything."

"I screwed up. It's not your fault."

Despite shining so brightly, his blue eyes looked lifeless. He looked so empty.

"Suguru. Should we kill them?" Gojo asks in a monotone voice. "I wouldn't feel anything even if we do."

"No. There's no point." Geto replies as the conversation he had with (Y/N) played through his head.

"No point huh? Do we really need one?" the white-haired boy says, stopping in his tracks.

"Yes. It's very important." the other answers after a moment of hesitation. "Especially for a jujutsu sorcerer."

......

"(F/N)." Geto's voice says.

(Y/N) looks over at the door and quite literally freezes in shock. Gojo was standing there, beside Geto and he was very much alive. The young girl instantly runs over and tackles him into a hug.

"You idiot..." she says, tears brimming in her eyes. "I'm so glad you're okay.."

"Yeah.. I am." he replies softly.

"Hey does Shoko know?" (Y/N) asks, breaking the hug.

"Yeah, we went to see her before coming here." the boy with dark hair answers.

"I'm glad you're both okay." she says with a big smile.

Her two friends couldn't help but smile a little too.

Later in the evening, she made a generous amount of food (with some help of course) and called both Nanami and Haibara so they could all eat together. While eating, she glanced around the table and couldn't help feeling grateful and happy. What they were doing right now, it felt so family-like.
