Gojo sat down with them and they chatted for a little longer, until it was dark. (Y/N) gave Megumi back his jacket and wished him goodnight before he left for his room. The two older sorcerers decided to head to Gojo's room for a bit since they still had other things to discuss.
"Satoru.." (Y/N) said softly, running her fingers through the man's hair as he laid his head on her lap. "You've heard about Tsumiki right?"
"Mhm."
"Did you tell Megumi?"
"I don't think it'd be any good. Not now at least. He'll know eventually of course."
"Do you think-" she stopped, as though collecting her thoughts. "Do you think she'll be alright?"
Gojo turned slightly to meet her gaze.
"She will be as long as the curse is exorcised." he answered. "But there's never anything guaranteed, you know that (F/N)."
"I do, but-"
"It's Tsumiki, so you're extra worried. I know." he said, sitting up. "But for now, there's nothing we can do. You've said it yourself, things have been a little odd recently and frankly, I don't really like it."
"We're all in the same boat." (Y/N) chuckled.
"And you'll never have to worry about being alone in it." Gojo replied, pulling her to his chest. "Because no matter what happens, I'll always be beside you."
"Promise?" she asked, hugging him back.
"Promise."
......
Around two months later, the three first-years were given the mission of inspecting multiple murders caused by a curse technique. It was also when Fushiguro finally learned about his sister, who had been cursed and was still bedridden.
During the battle at the Yasohachi Bridge, the students managed to kill two of the death paintings: Eso and Kechizu.

After Kugisaki came back from the movie theater, the two girls headed to a sushi restaurant where the short-haired girl told (Y/N) all about Itadori's middle school girl classmate whom she'd met today.
"He's a real good guy." the older sorcerer smiled.
"It was kind of surprising, honestly. Even Fushiguro was impressed." Nobara replied before changing her tone. "But the thought that Itadori might land a girlfriend before I get a boyfriend really pisses me off."
That made (Y/N) laugh.
The rest of the evening went by, mostly with Nobara complaining about the "wormo man" movie they'd watched and recommending different stores she liked.
......
"Oh! (F/N) is here too!"
"Hello!" the woman greeted Itadori with a smile, as the two other first-year students came in behind him.
"What are we here for?" Fushiguro asked Gojo, who was standing beside (Y/N).
"We have another important mission for you three." he answered.
The white-haired man explained how there were people leaking intel to a curse user, and that they'd been assigned to capture and interrogate a suspect.
"You'll be accompanied by Utahime." (Y/N) said, to which Gojo nodded.
"She'll explain things in more detail once you meet her." he added.
Little did any of them know, this was just the start to a series of horrible events.

2018, October 31
"Is it really necessary to have both of us stationed here?" (Y/N) asked, trying to not sound irritated.
"We can't risk losing either of you." Principal Masamichi answered. "It'll put us at a huge disadvantage."
"Wouldn't it be better to have us at different spots? So there'd be two help stations for those who get injured?"
"We'd have to find another person to stay with you. There weren't any good options for that."
"I don't need anyone there to look after me." the (H/C)-haired woman retorted.
"You can't be left alone, we'll need your reverse curse technique." he said firmly. "And we all know that if there's no one to make sure you stay put, you'd be running off the moment you hear anything that could indicate your students might be in trouble."
"Not exactly a bad thing." Shoko remarked.
"But she acts too impulsively." he replied, turning to the long-haired doctor. "You shouldn't be encouraging her."

Gojo's POV
"Well, this is awful. There's another veil centered underneath here that also traps non-sorcerers inside."
I floated right above the people in the station and got to the middle.
"Sorry (F/N), this might get a little worse than I told you it'd be." I said. "But I think I have a pretty good idea of what they're after. I'll play along."

3rd person POV
"You look awfully unhappy. Are you worried about Gojo?" Shoko asked.
"I know he's strong. He's very capable." (Y/N) sighed. "I just- have a bad feeling about this."
"Don't we all?" her friend replied, pulling out a cigarette. "I mean, all of this is pretty weird, even for the jujutsu world."

In short, I might just briefly skim through the Shibuya arc and most of the culling game arc, write some more sad, wholesome, bittersweet moments before finishing the story!

Sooo, for obvious reasons, during the rest of the Shibuya arc, there aren't as many interactions between Gojo and (Y/N). I don't plan on changing that, since getting boxed is a pretty important part of the storyline.
As I've mentioned in the very first author's note, I haven't read the manga and I'm not planning on doing it soon. That means that despite knowing some of the stuff that happens during the culling game arc, I'm pretty lost.
BUT I don't want to leave the story unfinished and there's still more I'd love to write.
Therefore, I made an ending that is most likely not going to be completely canonically accurate. There are still going to be quite a few sadder scenes though, I couldn't make it super happy (I mean, we like JJK, that should sum it up).
