Chapter 6: Family

It took a while for Megumi and Tsumiki to warm up to them, but eventually, they did. Although (Y/N) and Gojo were both busy with their own lives, they spent as much time as they could with the two kids.

(So here are a few scenarios of this lovely family.)

"(F/N)! Let's go get ice cream!" Gojo calls out.

"Again? We just went two days ago."

"(L/N)-san, pleasee..?" Tsumiki asks.

(Y/N) sighs.

"Okayy, we can go." she says.

"Yay! Thank you (F/N)!" the small girl exclaims. "I-I mean (L/N)-san."

"Tsumiki. Please feel free to call me (F/N)." the older girl replies with a kind smile. "Same to you Megumi."

The young girl smiles happily while the boy simply nods.

"Come onnn, you guys are so slowww." the white-haired man whines.

......

"Hey Gojo, I'm at the kid's place and I'll be cooking, so swing by if you have time and haven't eaten okay?" (Y/N) says after he answers her call.

"Ok, I'll make sure to come over. See you later!"

But he hadn't arrived by supper time yet, so she saved him some food, putting it in the fridge before calling the two kids. After they'd eaten, the three of them cleaned up together and the two younger ones showered and brushed their teeth.

"(F/N) I thought Gojo was going to come over." Tsumiki says, laying on the couch.

"I think he's caught up in some work." the older girl replies, brushing her fingers in the young girl's hair. "I'm sorry he couldn't be here for supper."

"It's not even your fault." Megumi mumbles.

"Hey, do you guys wanna dance?" (Y/N) suddenly asks, standing up.

She then walks over to the CD player she had brought over a while back and puts on her favorite instrumental disk before slowly dancing to the music.

"Wahh.." Tsumiki says in awe. "You're like a ballerina!"

"Come on, join me!"

She smiles and offers a hand to the young girl who takes it with a smile.

"Megumi." (Y/N) calls, offering him a hand too.

The boy hesitates before taking it after his sister nags him. The three of them were gliding and spinning along to the music. The two girls had happy smiles on their faces and even Megumi, who was usually quite expressionless, had a slight smile on his. They were enjoying themselves and none of them even heard Gojo walking in.

The man was surprised at first. It wasn't exactly the sight he expected. It was the first time he'd seen her dance. (H/C) hair swaying as she moved, and her warm smile as she looked at the two kids. It made him feel... Happy. He silently watched them follow the music, a soft smile slowly forming on his face.

As she did a pirouette, the girl noticed him standing in the doorway.

"Oh, welcome home." she says, stopping and smiling.

"My my, what's happening here? Mind if I join?" he asks.

"Of course not!" Tsumiki exclaims, her eyes bright.

They danced. The four of them danced in the small, softly lit living room until the two kids were tired. They were then carried to bed by (Y/N) and Gojo.

"Tired?" the girl asks, as he walks out of Megumi's room and into the kitchen.

"No, I'm fine." he says. "You dance pretty well, I'm surprised."

"Yeah right. I think I should be the one surprised, you know since you're basically a pole."

"Heyy that's not very nice (F/N)-chan. Don't get all jelly because you're a shortie." the man teases.

"Oh shut up." (Y/N) replies, taking out a plate of food from the microwave before it beeps and handing it to him.

"You saved some for me! Thank you so much (F/N), you're the best!" he exclaims before taking a mouthful. "Ichs sho good."

She sighs, shaking her head, but the corners of her lips were slightly upturned.

(Y/N) was staying up late, working on a report. Gojo was on a mission and she had decided to stay with her two favorite kids for the night. As she was typing, she heard soft footsteps and turned to find Megumi standing there.

"Oh, Megumi you're not asleep? Do you need so-" she stops as she sees his face. "Hey, what's wrong?"

The girl immediately walked over to him and crouched down to his height.

"What's wrong Megumi?" she asks again, softly.

"I-" he starts, tears forming in his eyes.

He hugs her. Honestly, that was one of the last things (Y/N) expected, but after the initial surprise, she gently hugged him back.

"D-don't leave.." the young boy says, tightening his arms around her. "P-please.."

"Oh, Megumi.."

Her heart breaks hearing his sobs. She sits down on the floor and pulls him closer in her embrace.

"Don't worry." she says softly. "I'm here.. And I'm not leaving anytime soon. I promise."

(Y/N) holds his small figure, gently brushing her fingers through his dark hair. Slowly, the sobs turn into sniffles, and then quietness.

"I'll always be here for you Megumi." she whispers, placing a soft kiss on the top of his head.
