Chapter 32: Plans

"So?" Shoko asked as her friend came into her office.

"They went to find Tengen." (Y/N) answered. "How's Nobara?"

"She's not getting worse, but not better either. I've tried just about everything."

The (H/C)-haired woman nodded with a sigh.

"I don't want to discourage you, but I don't exactly see any chances of her suddenly getting better. If that's the case, she might stay in this state for a long time, maybe even forever."

(Y/N) nodded again.

"I know." she replied. "So maybe it's time for some progress."

"What are you-"

"I'm sure the higher-ups are all busy because of the culling game announcement and there are some books we've never had access to. Aren't you curious about them?"

Shoko's lips turned upwards.

"Well, it's not like we have much to lose." she said, making her friend smile in response. "By the way, have gone to see Inumaki?"

(Y/N) shook her head.

"You should. I'm sure he'd be happy to have you check up on him." Shoko added. "It's not a great sight, but probably better than whatever you must have seen when you went to get Nanami's body."

The (H/C)-haired woman did end up stopping at Inumaki's room on her way to the library. Her heart ached as she saw her student's missing arm. The two of them chatted briefly before she left, promising she'd come back later.

(Y/N) dropped the two backpacks full of books down on her room floor with a thud. She had guessed right. The school higher-ups were way too preoccupied with the culling game to even care about the restricted section of the library anymore. Just as she sat down, opening her first book, her phone rang.

"Hello?"

"(F/N), we've met Master Tengen." Fushiguro's voice said.

"What did he say?"

"There's a participant in the culling game that can unseal Gojo from the back of the Prison Realm." the boy answered. "Her name is Hana Kurusu."

"Perfect. Do you guys know where she is?"

"Master Tengen told us where her colony was."

"Good. What are you all planning on next?" she asked.

"Maki is going to the Zenin clan to collect cursed tools and Okkotsu's entering a colony right away. Itadori and I are going to Hakari, as planned."

"Is Yuki going with any of you?" (Y/N) questioned.

"No. She and Choso are staying behind to guard Master Tengen." Fushiguro answered.

"Alright. Well, I'm guessing Yuta told you, but Kinji can be pretty moody. He's not a bad person though and he's strong." she said before pausing for a bit. "Also, if it comes in need, mention that you're head of the Zenin clan. It might help a bit."

"Okay."

"Try to keep me updated?"

"I will."

"You two be safe. See you later."

"See you later."

(Y/N) had barely gotten through two books when she, Shoko, and a few others were told to relocate to a less risky area. After that, she spent most of her time reading the books she had taken from the school, making sure not to miss anything since she knew they might be the only chance of saving Nobara. Because of that, she hadn't seen any of her fellow sorcerers in a while other than Shoko, who was staying with her.

"(F/N)." her friend called out. "Fushiguro, Itadori, and Angel are going to see Tsumiki later. Shouldn't you join them?"

"I'd love to." she replied, her eyes still on the thick book placed on a small table in front of her. "But the quicker I get through these, the better."

"I can do that for you while you go out." Shoko said.

So, (Y/N) agreed.

"Megumi! (F/N)!" Tsumiki smiled. "Hey!"

The (H/C)-haired woman frowned slightly, scanning the girl standing in front of her. She looked the same, her voice was the same, and even the sound of her thoughts was the same.

"But if I remember correctly..." she thought. "I had blocked Tsumiki's mind-reading..."

Right before she was about to say something, Megumi gave his sister 100 points, just like they had planned. Pretty much immediately, the girl said something none of them expected.

"Kogane. Add a rule allowing entry and exit across colony borders."

Angel was no longer flying but was rather standing beside Itaodri who was behind Megumi and (Y/N). All of them had shocked expressions on their faces.

"Who... Are you?!" Megumi managed to say.

"I'm your sister, Megumi Fishuguro!" she smiled.

(Y/N) didn't need to look at him to know the distressed expression the boy had at that moment. All of this had been for nothing. Tsumiki wasn't safe. She might be in even more danger.

The person who had taken over Tsumiki's body then flew off, leaving them behind.

"We have to go after her." (Y/N) said, to which Itadori and Hana immediately agreed.

They had just started to run. The two girls were just about to take off when, all of a sudden, Itadori's body was taken over by Sukuna who swiftly knocked them out and turned to Megumi, a grin on his face.

(Y/N)'s POV

One moment I was about to chase after that girl with Yuji and Angel.

The second everything goes black.

And the third... I see Megumi. The boy I know so well, but this time, with markings on his face.
