Two days had passed since the Night Parade of a Hundred Demons and (Y/N) was getting more worried every time she saw him. After all, he had just lost his best friend, whom he'd killed.
That stupid smile he'd put up, the cheery voice he'd speak in. It was all just an act. A way to cope. And finally, she was done.
As Gojo got to his room after another long day, the sun was already starting to set. He had just changed out of his sorcerer uniform when he heard a knock on the door.
"Oh (F/N), hey. Fancy seeing you here."
The girl greets him with a nod.
"Why so cold?" he asks teasingly. "Come in."
(Y/N) steps in and he closes the door behind her.
"You need something? Or did you just miss my handsome face?" the man says, grinning.
"You're such an idiot." she replies.
"Mean."
"How are you?" the girl asks, looking at him.
"Huh?"
"How are you doing?" she repeats.
"I'm as good as ever!" Gojo answers. "Aww are you worried about me? There's nothing to be worried about, I'm the strongest after a-"
"Shut up." (Y/N) says, staring right into the eyes she couldn't see. "Shut the hell up."
"You're sure are in a bad mood today. Wanna got out and rela-" he starts, an amused smile still on his face.
"Gojo. What the hell." she interrupts. "Why? Why are you doing this to yourself? You're clearly not okay so why?"
The man looks at her, caught off guard.
"W-what do you mean?"
"You know what I mean, yet you're still playing dumb." the girl continues. "I can't just leave you alone like this. It's not okay. You're not okay. So stop pretending."
"I don't know what you're talking about." he says, turning his head slightly so he wouldn't be looking directly at her face.
"Then face me. Look at me in the eyes and tell me."
"Look, I'm not sure why you're here, because I'm fine, so-"
"STOP IT!" she yells. "STOP LYING ALREADY! I CAN TELL YOU AREN'T FINE."
She pushes him against the wall.
"I DON'T CARE ABOUT A SINGLE ONE OF YOUR LABELS. I COULDN'T CARE LESS ABOUT WHETHER YOU'RE THE STRONGEST SORCERER, TO ME YOU'RE JUST SATORU. JUST GOJO SATORU."
She was breathing heavily and there were tears in her eyes again.
"SO STOP IT, STOP ACTING. IT HURTS JUST SEEING YOU LIKE THAT. YOU HAVE FEELINGS TOO, YOU'RE ALLOWED TO HURT. YOU'RE ALLOWED TO CRY, TO SCREAM." the girl continues. "So please.. Don't just keep it all in..."
She hadn't noticed how her hand was tightly gripping his shirt, nor when the tears had started streaming down her face.
"I'm here for you, okay?" (Y/N) says softly after wiping her tears. "You can always come to me."
Without waiting for a response, she left, making sure to close his door.
After she walked out, it took Gojo a few seconds to process everything that had just happened. As soon as it did, tears started pouring down his face, making him take off his blindfold and sink to the floor.
"You're allowed to cry."
"To me, you're just Satoru."
......
(Y/N) took a deep breath before knocking on Gojo's door the following morning.
"Can I come in..?" she asks
"Yeah, of course." he says, pulling himself together. "I didn't expect you to come over."
"Sorry for intruding." the girl apologizes. "And for yesterday. I shouldn't have yelled like that."
"No, it's fine."
"I made you some breakfast and got you a day off, so unless there's an emergency, you're free today. I'll be with your students, so try to get some rest. You haven't slept very much recently, have you?"
The man looks at her, surprised.
"Well, I'll get going." (Y/N) says, giving him the container she was holding. "See you."
......
"Are we training by ourselves today?" Okkotsu asks.
"I think Gojo might just be late again." Panda answers.
Inumaki nods in agreement while Maki rolls her eyes.
"Well, if he doesn't show up we'll figure something out." she says.
"Sorry for being late!" (Y/N) calls out, running over. "I'll be with you guys today."
"Where'd Gojo go?" Panda asks.
"Who cares. Honestly, I'd rather train with (L/N)." the girl with dark green hair says.
"Okay then." the older girl smiles. "Since I'm really not that good at anything else, we'll mostly be doing close combat today. Let's start with a few laps to warm up."
After they'd done that, Maki, Okkotsu, and (Y/N) each got a tool.
"Anyone wants to start first?"
"I do." Maki says, stepping forward.
"We haven't done any close combat in a while." the (H/C)-haired girl smiles. "Okay, I wanna see how much you've improved."
The two girls both take a stance before starting the combat. The three boys sat a few meters away, watching them.
"Maki loves training with (L/N), but she doesn't get to do it too often." Panda explains.
"Salmon roe." Inumaki agrees.
"Oh." Okkotsu says. "Yeah, now that you mention it, what does (F/N) do? Is she a teacher too?"
"First name basis already?" Panda asks. "And no, she's not exactly a teacher, it's a little complicated. You can ask her later."
"Woah!" the boy with dark hair exclaims, seeing his classmate dodge a blow. "Maki really is good."
"Yup, that's for sure. But (L/N) is too."
"Touché." (Y/N) says, gently hitting Maki's side. "You're getting even better at this!"
"Thanks to you." the other replies with a grin. "I'll beat you one day."
"I'll be waiting."
