(Y/N) and Gojo were sitting in his living room while talking about the whole Itadori situation.
"So, do you plan on just training Yuji?"
"Yep. Megumi and Norbara will be fine, they have the second years." the white-haired man replies. "And you. So Yuji is my biggest concern."
"Well, knowing you're gonna take responsibility for him sure is a relief." she says.
"Are you mocking me?" he teases, seeing her smile. "I'm the strongest. And a great teacher!"
"Yeah yeah." the girl replies. "I'll be with the others as much as possible then."
"Don't forget about me!" Gojo whines.
......
The next day (Y/N) met up with the students training for the Exchange Event. She spent the whole day with them, which was a lot of fun.
"Are you gonna train with us often?" Maki asks.
"Maybe. I'll be here as much as possible," the (H/C)-haired girl replies.
The student nods, smiling slightly, before asking (Y/N) to fight with her again.
Soon enough the day went by. In the evening, she joined Gojo and Itadori for supper. The latter was making his famous meatballs while the two teachers were talking.
"You still have those!?" the white-haired man asks as he sees (Y/N)'s camera roll. "Yuji! Wanna see pictures of Megumi when he was younger?"
"Oh! Yeah!" the boy replies, rushing over.
She hands over the phone for him to get a closer look, but it drops before Itadori can get a proper hold.
"I'm sorry!" the boy apologizes immediately, picking it up.
"No no, it's okay."
"Is it brok-"
Gojo stops as he sees the crack on her lock screen. After a few seconds of silence, he grins at Itadori.
"I think you might have done her a favor. It's about time she changes her phone don't ya think?"
"Yeah, I guess." the student replies before turning to (Y/N). "I have always wondered though, why do you have such an old phone? Not a lot of people use those nowadays."
"I don't know, I guess I just never bothered to change it. Since it works fine and all." she smiles. "Well, I have an excuse to do so now. But first, how about we try those famous meatballs of yours?"
"Yeah! I'm starving!" Gojo adds.
......
"Wow. That's new. You kicked Gojo out of the room to tell me this?" (Y/N) says, glaring at the shadow behind the door. "And why suddenly invite me to join this year?"
It was a chilly afternoon, the day Kyoto's higher-ups and students arrived in Tokyo. The (H/C)-haired sorcerer had been called to meet the higher-ups.
"You've been improving a great amount, even after graduation. Plus, students from both schools seem rather fond of yo-"
"What exactly do you want?" she interrupts.
"Be careful with the attitude (L/N). You're starting to sound more and more like Gojo." one of the higher-up replies. "We're allowing you to join the surveillance of the Exchange Event this year, isn't that what you've always wanted?"
"What would you have done if Fushiguro and Kugisaki had gotten killed too? Still called it an accident?"
"I have no idea what you're talking about."
"Itadori. Don't act like it was it wasn't pla-."
"(L/N), have you forgotten your position?" a harsh voice says. "You're a mess. A sorcerer with no real position we chose to keep. You might have learned some of Gojo's attitude but your skill is nowhere close."
Those words made (Y/N) swallow hard.
"Not this again.." she thinks.
"Whether you attend the Exchange Event is your choice, but you have been invited." another voice continues. "You used to work so well with us (L/N). Don't break our trust now."
......
Gojo's pov
I walked over as she stepped out of the door. The look on her face didn't say much.
"You okay?" I ask. "What did they say?"
"The usual stuff I guess." (Y/N) answers without meeting my gaze.
I hate these buildings. Unlike literally every other space on the school grounds, the ones the higher-ups were always in seemed to have some type of extra protection. I can't sense much and (F/N) can't read anyone's mind when they're inside. It's beyond annoying.
"I did get invited to join you guys for the Exchange Event though."
"That's great!" I say, grinning. "I mean, I would've found a way for you to be there anyway, but hey, less work for me."
She chuckles and tells me to call her when I'm done. I told her that it'd be better for me to argue about Yuij's case with the higher-ups. There were less chances of her getting into trouble that way. So, I watched as she walked out of sight before heading inside myself.
......
3rd person pov
(Y/N) was walking when she heard loud noises coming from not too far away.
"Are they fighting already?" she mutters, rushing over just in time to see Panda jumping up, ready to punch Todo. "Hey! That's enough for today."
Hearing her voice, Panda flops to the ground to avoid smacking into the Kyoto student.
"Long time no see Panda, (L/N)."
"Oh, it's you. Hi." the girl greets, smiling slightly.
"Why can't you just wait till the exchange event?" Panda asks. "Go home or I'll start screaming nooo!"
"You don't have to tell me to go home. And looks like I won't be bored the whole time." Todo says. "Give Okkotsu a message for m-"
"Okay okay, enough chattering." (Y/N) interrupts, ushering the student away. "Did you come alone? Where's your jacket? C'mon, let's go."
She turns around, giving the three Tokyo students a weary smile.
"Megumi you can wait for me here or go get checked at Shoko's. I'll be back soon."
(A/N): My somewhat consistent updating schedule is in shambles, I am so sorry about that. School and other stuff have been keeping me really busy.
I hope you guys are having a great year so far, stay safe!
