(Y/N)'s POV

"There's not much I can really do."

Ever since I joined this world, I've known that. There was a time I hated it, back when we were students. I didn't get to go out on missions and do the stuff the others did. Everyone said reverse curse technique was a special and valuable skill, but in reality, it isn't that impressive.

Eventually, I started working with the students we have who are so incredibly strong and talented. Like Satoru would say, the younger generation of sorcerers is overwhelming with potential. Part of my job as a teacher is to ensure that the younger sorcerers can blossom into their best and strongest selves.

"So wake up already." I said softly, looking at the short-haired student. "They need you with them."

"Rejoice, boys!" Kugiski exclaimed as she used her cursed technique on Sukuna's final finger.

"It's working." (Y/N) heard Shoko say through the phone. "Both their attacks are sharp."

Almost like when they fought against Mahito, Kugiskai and Itadori worked together effectively, despite not being by each other's side physically.

Not too long after, they successfully separated Sukuna from Fushiguro's body. Hearing the news from her friend almost made (Y/N) laugh out in relief.

"You're finally back." she thought.

......

"Your eye is okay!" Itaodri exclaimed when he saw Kugisaki, once they were both back at school.

"Yeah well.." she started. "I could have survived without it."

"What do you me- Oh." the boy said, realizing what she meant as he saw (Y/N) who had a patch covering where her left eye should be.

"Oh come on, don't be so grim about it!" the (H/C)-haired girl said. "The patch looks kinda cool, doesn't it?"

"Yeah it does!" Itadori agreed, grinning while Kugisaki smiled a bit.

"Do you know where Megumi is?" (Y/N) asked the pink-haired boy.

"Panada brought him to the infirmary." he answered. "By the way, I told him what you said."

The older sorcerer awkwardly chuckled at that before leaving them to head to the infirmary. Once she'd left, Kugisaki turned to her friend, demanding to know what she had said.

"After Sukuna took over Fushiguro's body, I asked her if she thought we'd be able to save him and she said she hoped so." he explained. "She said that he might end up being a lot more damaged emotionally than physically, and maybe even lose his will to keep living. I never really realized how much she knew him. I mean (F/N) practically predicted that would happen."

"Yeah?"

"Then I asked her what we'd have to do if that does happen." Itadori continued. "Of course, she said we'd have to talk him out of giving up. The way she phrased it-"

"Tell me exactly how she said it!" the short-haired girl exclaimed.

"We'd have to talk him out of giving up on life. In the state he'd be in, doing that would probably be a little difficult, but he needs to understand we want him to be with us, that no one expects him to be back all okay and perfect." the boy quoted. "He can be hurt or broken, or anything, as long as he comes back home again."

"You said that to him word for word..?" Kugisaki asked, raising an eyebrow. "That would sound weird coming from you."

"Not exactly word for word!" he replied. "I added my own twist to it."

"And that was it?"

"Well after, I had asked (F/N) what Fushiguro was to her, and she said he was her family." Itadori finished. "So I told him that."

......

Shoko smiled slightly at (Y/N) as she walked into the infirmary.

"Third bed to the right." the doctor said to which her friend nodded.

"Have you done any healing yet?" the latter asked.

"Not on him."

"Alright. I'll start with h-"

"Don't even think about it." Shoko interrupted sternly. "Using your curse technique will only weaken you and make you lose your cursed energy quicker."

(Y/N) looked around at all the occupied beds.

"You will end up dying from overworking." she replied. "And we don't want that."

"I'm serious (F/N)."

"So am I." the (H/C)-haired woman said. "I don't want you to treat me like I'm some crippled old person. I want to live like we did before any of this happened."

"You are going to be the end of me." Shoko smiled slightly.

Seeing that, (Y/N) smiled too, as the two of them worked in a comfortable silence.

"Have you seen Yuta yet? Do you know if he's able to switch back from Satoru's body?" she asked after a while.

"He's still in Gojo's body." the doctor replied simply.

......

Fortunately, he wasn't for too long. Thanks to all the educative reading Shoko and (Y/N) had done during the battles (neither of them had ever read that much before), they had a better understanding of souls, cursed energy, and everything jujutsu sorcery related. It took a bit of time, but eventually, they successfully brought Okkotsu back to his original body. They took the time to mourn Gojo's body, before making sure it was properly disposed of.

(Y/N) also made sure to add a headstone for him too, on the same hill as Geto and Haibara's.

......

"Maki!" (Y/N) called out.

"Hey." the green-haired girl greeted with a smile.

"I haven't gotten to talk to you in a while." the older sorcerer said before pausing for a bit. "You ended up killing all of them?"

"I did." she replied, to which (Y/N) smiled ever so slightly.

"We haven't done close combat in a while. Do you want to head to the training ground?"

The student grinned and agreed immediately.

The (H/C)-haired woman knew she didn't have a chance of winning anymore. Maki's heavenly restriction had improved, she was immensely powerful.

"She said that she'd beat me one day and I want her to experience it" (Y/N) thought. "I'm not in my best state anymore so I won't be able to give her the best fight, but I'll only be getting weaker afterward. Might as well do it now."

The two of them had a good fight. (Y/N) held up much better than she expected to, surprising herself. But in the end, Maki won.

"Touché." she said, gently hitting the older sorcerer's side, her smile wide as she offered a hand to pull her up.

"I am so proud of you." (Y/N) smiled.

Despite having fought people stronger than her, those words almost made Maki tear up a bit. She had looked up to (Y/N) like an older sister. She had been envious that Megumi had grown up with her. She was never someone who needed validation, but those simple words felt so fulfilling to hear.
