Chapter 5: Megumi

Not too long after Geto left them, Gojo mentioned Toji Fushiguro's son and (Y/N) insisted on accompanying him in order to meet the little boy. Unfortunately, Gojo being Gojo, decided to leave without waiting for her.

"You're Megumi Fushiguro right?" the man asks, following the small figure.

"Who are you?" the kid asks back, turning around. "And what's with that weird face?"

Gojo who had a hilariously shocked expression pushed up his glasses.

"You just look a lot like him, that's all." he says, thinking of Toji. "So listen, about your dad. He's from this big jujutsu family called the Zenin who are all scumbags. That's why he left them and had you. Now, you're one of the ones who can see things some can't, you've noticed the power inside you, right? The Zenin clan just loves strong powers. Most kids become aware of their curse techniques at around 4 to 6 years old, so it's the perfect time to sell a kid off."

The man rambles, towering over the black-haired boy, his arm wide open.

"So Megumi, you were the ultimate card your dad kept against the Zenin clan. Pisses you off doesn't it?" Gojo continues. "So, about that dad of yours. I ki-"

He was interrupted by a smack in the back of the head.

"What the heck Gojo." (Y/N) says.

"I don't care."

The two turn to look at Megumi curiously.

"I don't care about where he is or what he's doing." the young boy continues. "I haven't seen him in years, I don't even remember what he looks like. I do get the general idea from what you just told me though. Tsumiki's mother hasn't come home for a while now either. It means they're done with us and off enjoying themselves right?"

"Are you really a first grader?" Gojo asks, surprised. "Well, if you're ever curious about your father, you can ask me. Now, to the main point. What do you want to do? Do you want to go to the Zenin clan?"

"What will happen to Tsumiki? If go there, will she be happy?"

"No. A hundred percent no." the man says. "I can say that with certainty."

The boy gives him a look before turning his gaze to (Y/N) who, through her mind reading, knew he wanted to hear her confirm or deny what Gojo had just said.

"He's right, she won't. There's not a single chance."

The white-haired man laughs and puts his hand on Megumi's head.

"Leave the rest to me then." he says. "You'll need to push yourself a bit though. So do your best. Get stronger."

"Strong enough to keep up with me."

(Y/N) and Gojo turn around and walk away. After they were out of Megumi's sight, she glanced at him.

"I'll be their favorite."

"Huh?"

"I'll be their favorite, between the two of us."

"Oh no you won't!" he argues.

"Oh yes I will! Plus, you didn't even wait for me today, how dare you."

"Oopsies." Gojo says with a grin.

She glances at him again and smiles. Some of the life had come back to his eyes. Finally.

......

From that day on, even though they were still young themselves, the two friends started taking care of the two kids.

(A/N): Hii, so I know this chapter is pretty short, I'm sorry about that.

I'm planning on making the next chapter only "family" moments with Gojo, (Y/N), Megumi, and Tsumiki because I can't get enough of all the adorable Gojo "raising" Megumi fanart.
