"Anak, kakain na!" Leni shouted early in the morning. Emi was still in her room upstairs. It's already 7am.

She heard no response.

She continued to arrange the table but there's no Emi coming down. "Imelda Salvacion Gerona!" She shouted again.

"Mama naman!" Emi complain, scratching her head as she descend from the stairs. "Eto na nga pababa na kailangan pang isigaw ang buong pangalan."

Leni laughed at her daughter's face. She knew how hard it is to wake Emi up so she always called her full name. It's always effective though. "Tagal-tagal kasi bumangon!"

Emi made face and occupied her seat. They said a short prayer before eating. It's weekend so Emi doesn't have school. They planned to do grocery shopping and buy gifts today for the holidays.

They suddenly heard a truck outside. It's seems like there's a lot of people too. "Ano meron ma?" Emi asked.

Leni shrugged. "Baka may naglalagay ng decorations?"

"May truck ma!" Emi said, disagreeing with her mom.

"Malay ko. Baka may bumili na ng bahay dyan sa tapat. Naglilipat bahay na kaya may truck." Leni said casually.

Emi nodded.

They live in one of the exclusive subdivisions in the city so it's always quiet. Having a truck outside makes Emi curious. They continued to eat but Emi was quite distracted by the noise outside. "Check ko nga, ma." She stood up leaving her mom at the dining table.

"Imelda naman napaka-marites!" Leni remarked.

A few minutes later, Leni heard Emi shouting. "Mama! Mama!"

Leni almost choked. She ran outside to check on Emi. "What happened? Emi—" she stopped on her tracks after seeing Emi on the other side of the road with Bongbong.

"Ma! Come on!" Emi invited.

Leni frowned but decided to march on. She reached the house in front of theirs. "Anong meron?"

Bongbong smiled. "I'm moving."

Leni gasped. "Ikaw bumili nito?" Pointing at the huge house in front of theirs.

Bongbong nodded. "Yes. I told you, I'm not giving up. Hindi ko na kayo iiwan ni Emi."

Emi giggled. She was so happy. She was clinging to her dad's arms like a tarshier.

Leni smiled a bit not knowing what to feel.

"Ma, sama si daddy saatin ha." Emi said as she went down from her room. She's ready to shop with her mom.

Leni frowned. "Baka busy ang dad mo. Naglilipat sya diba?"

"Hindi naman daw ma. Actually, winiwait nya na tayo sa labas." Emi said.

Leni stood up automatically. "Nandyan na daddy mo?"

Emi nodded. "Bilisan mo na ma." She went out first.

Leni immediately get her bag and keys before she went out as well. She saw Bongbong wearing his polo tucked in to his pants. He's wearing his sunglasses as well.

"Let's go?" He called. She nodded and went to his car.

They went to the mall to shop for Emi's dress and gift for their section's Christmas Party. "Alin na napili mo?" Leni asked Emi as she was torn between two dresses.

Emi pouted. "Di ko alam ma, pareho maganda." She was holding the beige and black dresses.

"Kunin na natin pareho." Bongbong said. Emi beamed.
