I. Mayor Leni

Leni being busy is an understatement.

Since winning the mayoralty, Leni has been actively meeting with various people and organizations to shape her vision and platforms for Naga City. She traveled far and wide across the country, visiting cities, government offices, and national officials seeking support for her future projects.

And today, she'll become the first female Mayor of Naga City. She made history... again.

"I, Maria Leonor Gerona Robredo, having been elected as City mayor, hereby solemnly swear, that I will faithfully discharge to the best of my ability, the duties of my present position. And for all others, that I may hereafter hold under the Republic of the Philippines, that I will support, and defend the Constitution of the Philippines. That I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same, and that I will obey the laws, legal orders, and decrees promulgated by the duly constituted authorities of the Republic of the Philippines, and that I impose this obligation upon myself voluntarily, without mental reservation, or purpose of evasion. So help me God." Leni finally took oath.

Everyone cheered for their new City Mayor.

She then signed the appointment papers and posed for photo op. Almost everyone wanted to shake her hand and took a picture with her after the ceremony. But the celebration was cut off because she needed to go to work already as some barangays in the city were already flooded.

She just changed into her usual black pants and flip flops before going to the flooded school to check on the situation. After that, she went back to the City Hall to meet with some departments to address the issue at hand.

It was already 7:30pm when she clocked out from office, and reached her house 10 minutes later. She had dinner with Aika and Jillian before taking a shower and doing her night routine.

Her phone rang just when she reached her bed;

She smiled instantly and answered the call. "Hello?"

"Hello? How are you?" It was Bongbong Marcos.

"Okay naman. Patulog na sana ako."

"Ay sorry! Na-istorbo ba kita? I can call you tomorrow morning nalang."

"No, no, no, it's okay. Huwag mong ibaba. It's okay. Hindi pa naman ako inaantok. What's up?"

"Nothing. I just want to talk to you. Inauguration mo kanina, hindi man lang ako nakapunta."

"Ano ka ba! It's okay. Nag-usap na tayo about this diba? Hindi ka pwedeng makita ng mga tao dito."

"I know, I know. But it's so hard. I wanted to be there with you now."

"Bong—"

"Yeah, alam ko naman na hindi pwede. I understand. Hindi tayo pwedeng machismis."

"Hmm"

"But just so you know, I watched the live streaming kanina. You're sooo gorgeous, and amazing, and just wonderful!"

She giggled, "Bolero!"

He laughed. "I'm just telling the truth! I really like your dress. Bagay sayo. And your speech was perfect! I really like it! I'm excited for Naga!"

She blushed, "Thank you. And for what it's worth, I really really wanted you here today."

"I wanted to be there too."

"Pero hindi pwede."

"Yeah."

They both heaved a deep sigh.

"Babawi nalang ako sayo. Let's go somewhere next weekend."

"Pwede naman pero I have to check on my sched muna. Masyadong busy sa city hall eh."

"Yeah sure. Just message me."

"For the meantime, ganito na muna tayo, hmm?"

"Yes po. I'll call you every day, okay?"

"I'd love that."

"I miss you... like a lot."

"I miss you too. Pero konting tiis na muna, okay?"

"Okay."

"I love you!"

"I love you more!"
