"Whoooaa! There's a forest on the table!" Bongbong exclaimed. He's from upstairs.
"What did you just say?!" Leni reacted, ready to fight with him.
He realized how his reaction illicit a negative reaction from her end. "Wha— I mean— it looks uh fresh! Refreshing! It's, uh, earthly?"
"Earthly?!" She has this dead expression.
He swallowed a lump on his throat. "It's beautiful, Honey! It's wonderful! The table is— it's just the best table setup I've seen in recent memory!"
She threw the table napkin at his chest as she walks away, rolling her eyes. "Ewan ko sa'yo!"
He just sighed. Sablay na naman sya though tama naman na "earthly" yung table (?).
After an hour, he heard the doorbell rang. He's sure it's Sandro and his girlfriend. The table was "extra" tonight is because Sandro will finally introduce his girlfriend.
Their house helper got the door for him. He sighed in relief the moment he saw Sandro.
"Hi dad!" Sandro beamed as well, hugging his dad. "Dad, this is Alexa. My girlfriend."
Bongbong smiled at Alexa. "Hi! It's nice to finally meet you!"
Alexa shook Bongbong's hand. "Good evening po, Sir! Nice to meet you din po."
"Call me Tito Bong, okay?" Bongbong told her.
Alexa nodded, flattered with what she heard. She's nervous with all this dinner happening tonight. She knew who Sandro's parents are.
"Where's mom?" Sandro asked.
"Anak?"
They heard Leni's voice and footsteps coming down from the stairs. They're sure it's Leni.
Bongbong leaned closer to Sandro and said in his very low voice, "Tell your mom the table is perfect."
Sandro looked at his dad knowingly. "What did you do?"
"May toyo ang mommy mo." Bongbong said before Leni finally appeared.
Alexa felt nervous after knowing how sour Leni's mood is. She never knew Leni aside from her NGO.
"Anak! Hi! I miss you!" Leni welcoming Sandro with arms wide open. She hugged him tight, kissing his cheek.
"I miss you too!" Sandro reciprocated. "Mom, this is Alexa, my girlfriend."
