"Why are you here?" Leni glared at Bongbong the moment she saw him standing outside their gate. He's leaning to his car door.
"Hi!" He waved a bit. "Emi messaged me."
She frowned. "Na?"
"If available daw ako today—"
"Daddy!" Emi exclaimed as she ran to her dad.
"Hiii!" Bongbong beamed as he met Emi halfway. They hugged tightly, he even carried her a bit.
"Buti po nandito kayo!" Emi said.
"Syempre! Malakas ka saakin eh!" Bongbong pinched her cheeks.
Emi giggled.
"Let's go?" Bongbong invited.
Emi turned to her mom. "Ma, okay lang naman po kung sumama si Dad saatin diba?"
Leni sighed. "May magagawa pa ba ko?"
Emi clapped. "Yay! Thanks, Mother!" She then opened the car door.
Leni frowned. "Uy uy teka sandali! Saan ka pupunta? Nandun pa yung kotse ko."
Emi frowned. "Dito na po tayo kay daddy. Dyan ka na ma sa unahan, ako na dito sa likod." And she went inside the car.
Leni was left there standing, dumbfounded. She didn't know what just happened.
"Let's go?" Bongbong opened the car door for her.
"Wag mo kong kakausapin!" She rolled her eyes as she walked past him.
He shook his head and closed the door.
Emi was so excited, this is the first time she shared a car ride with her parents. She took a picture using her phone and post it on her ig stories with a small caption,
"Backseat feels nice 😭"
Leni continued to focus her attention on the road as they drove going to Emi's swimming practice. She can see in her peripheral vision that he's glancing at her. She wanted to avoid him so she kept herself amused by the view outside. She doesn't want them to fight knowing Emi can see and hear them.
"Dito na ba?" He asked. They reached the sports complex.
"Yes dad!" Emi couldn't keep her excitement.
"Baba na kayo dito, maghahanap lang ako ng parking." He said.
Leni and Emi immediately went down the car as Leni carried Emi's bag containing her essentials. They went straight to the pool area and saw Emi's friends and their parents as well. They had a quick catch up then Emi changed into her swimming outfit.
"Daddy, look!" Emi said the moment she saw her dad reached their area.
It's the first time that Bongbong was able to attend Emi's swimming practice so he's excited as well. "Picturan kita, anak." He opened his phone's camera. "Tayo ka dito para pool ang background." He instructed which Emi followed. He smiled widely as Emi posed for a picture.
"Tayong dalawa naman, dad." Emi suggested. "Ma, magpapapicture po kami ni daddy."
Bongbong was hesitant at first, but Leni silently got his phone. He then went to have his picture with his daughter.
"Kayo naman po ni mama, picturan ko po kayo." Emi smirked.
Leni frowned.
"Sige na ma, please." Emi pouted.
Leni sighed. "Fine. Isa lang at mag start na practice nyo."
Emi nodded.
Bongbong smiled as he stood beside Leni. There's a huge gap between them. "Usog naman po kayo ng konti. Masyado po kayong malayo, di kasya sa screen." Emi coached.
