"Magandang araw sainyong lahat! Thank you for being here today." Bongbong went to the microphone for a presscon. It was known what happened to him and he wanted to assure everybody that he's home and safe.
He started the presscon with an update regarding what happened in Mindanao, how are the people living there, how the investigation was going, and what happened to him. Then, he gave the reporters permission to ask him questions.
"Sir, kumusta po ang kalagayan nyo ngayon? Ang sabi po kasi ni spox nasugatan kayo and kita po namin yung arm sling nyo." One reporter from one news asked.
"I'm better now. Thank you to all the doctors and nurses who assisted me yesterday in Mindanao." Bongbong said. "They cleared me agad naman kaya nakauwi ako dito. Meron naman tayong mga doctor na nag momonitor saakin dito and wala naman akong malalang sugat or injury na nakuha bukod dito sa maliit na sugat sa noo saka itong sa braso ko, but overall, I'm good."
"Sir, nakita po namin for the first time si First Lady Leni na nasa Malacañang after what happened to you and curious po ang lahat kung kumusta po si First Lady and ano po naging reaction nya after nya malaman yung nangyari sainyo?" One reporter asked.
Bongbong smiled, he knew that Leni related questions will be asked. Netizens has pointed out how worried Leni was that she rushed to Malacañang, which never happened before. "I think she's fine now. I was told na si Cong. Sandro ang tumawag sa kanya to tell her what happened kaya humarurot sya papunta dito sa Malacañang. Uh she's worried. Hindi nga nakatulog kasi hinihintay ako makabalik dito sa Manila."
"Ano pong sabi sainyo ni First Lady nung nakabalik na po kayo dito, sir?" Another reporter followed up.
"Sabi nya saakin ayaw nya pa daw mabyuda." He said.
Everyone laughed.
"Sabi nya try not to die again." He followed. Everyone laughed again. "Sabi ko sa kanya, okay I won't."
Everyone laughed.
"Binibiro ko nga eh sabi ko kung hindi pa ako nasabugan ng bomba, hindi pa sya pupunta dito sa palasyo." He smirked. Everyone was laughing. "Allergic yun sa mga camera saka interview."
"Mukhang in good terms na po kayo ni First Lady, i-expect na po ba namin sya sa mga official functions dito or madalas na po ba namin sya makikita in public?" Another reporter asked.
Bongbong smirked. "Oh I can't answer that. Mapapagalitan ako ng misis ko kapag nagpromise ako ngayon na makikita nyo sya palagi doing stuff."
Everyone laughed.
"Atty. Leni is busy with her NGO. She and her team are doing very good with what they do and I thank them for that. She loves her work, kitang-kita naman na gusto nya yung ginagawa nya diba? She's passionate about helping people and I admire her for that." Bongbong said, "Being called First Lady is something she's not fond of. Doing official functions, going to official trips, ceremonies and other stuff is not her thing. She's just not into politics. I get that. I respect that."
Everyone was intently listening.
"And I think doing what she loves, doing what she's passionate about makes her the best First Lady." He smiled. "She's not your typical First Lady. She's her own self. She's complex and passionate and smart and she knows what she wants, she carve her own path, she's just wonderful that's why she's the mother of my son."
Everyone smiled.
"So yeah, I cannot promise na makikita nyo si Atty. Leni palagi because she's not just the First Lady, she's the Chairperson and President of the largest NGO in the country." Bongbong smiled proudly.
