The whole country was celebrating.
It's Leni's 60th birthday.
There's been a lot of greetings, songs, video edits around the internet in celebration of Leni's birthday.
In Naga, where Leni was, has the same festive enegry. Volunteers gathers at the HQ to celebrate with their future Mayor. Leni and her team decided to shortened their campaign to celebrate for her birthday.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAYOR!"
Everyone sang while Jillian and Aika brought the cake.
Leni beamed, "Salamat! Salamat!" She then made a short wish before blowing the candles.
Everyone cheered.
"Happy birthday, ma!" Jill hugged her mom. Aika joined in as well.
"Happy birthday, boss!" Kit hugged Leni tight.
"Yieee!!!" Everyone teased. They knew how close Leni and Kit are. He's been in Naga to help with the campaign. "Kiss! Kiss! Kiss!"
Leni laughed, "Tumigil kayo! Baka may magalit!"
"Ay may jowa pala 'to si Cong. Kit!" A volunteer jested.
"Patay tayo dyan!" Kit joked.
Everyone laughed.
There's a lot of singing, dancing, and eating all throughout the evening. Leni is even trending on twitter and other socmed platforms.
It was already 10pm when Leni and her children went home. There's still volunteers at the HQ celebrating, but Leni decided to call it a day. She said she needed to get up early tomorrow for the campaign.
She turned off the lampshade beside her when she heard a car horn outside. Then, her phone chimed indicating a text message.
From: Unkown
I'm outside.
Leni's eyes grew bigger when she read the message. She got up in an instant and wore her robe. She almost ran to open the gate.
She let the motorcade enter and parked inside. She excitedly gripped her robe as she waited for one person to get off the car.
"Happy birthday, Madam Mayor!" It was Bongbong Marcos, who's still in his work clothes, beaming at Leni with a bouquet of flowers on his hands.
He kissed her lips.
"Thank you, Mr. President!" She beamed at him.
She held his hand as they went inside the house. They went straight to her bedroom.
"Matutulog ka na?" He asked.
She nodded, helping him unbuttoned his barong. "Nakahiga na 'ko nung nag text ka. Buti hindi pa 'ko tulog."
"Akala ko kasi nasa HQ ka pa kaya sabi ko medyo late na ako pupunta dito." He said.
"May mga tao pa dun actually, kaso sabi ko magpapahinga pa 'ko kasi maaga pa bukas." She said.
"Well," he pulled her closer through her waist, "It turned out hindi ka makakapagpahinga ng maaga, Mayor." He kissed her lips.
She giggled, "Maligo ka na para makatulog na tayo. May trabaho ka bukas."
He leaned to her ear and whispered, "What if sabay tayo maligo?"
She blushed instantly, "Naligo na 'ko, baliw!"
He laughed. "Sige na nga, maliligo na 'ko. Pero you wait for me, huwag mo 'kong tutulugan."
She giggled, nodding, "Yes, Mr. President."
