Jenice Claire's POV

Don't ask me why, bigla nalang kasi nagmano si Pedro and then they both looked at me, so sinunod ko nalang siya and nagmano ako sa pari

"Aalis na po kami Padre", he said asking permission to the priest as we are now standing at the door, ready to exit anytime

"Sige Pedro, mag-iingat kayo", the priest bids his farewell to us, praying to keep us safe, we gave him a smile before we left the place, nasa labas na kami at naglalakad na papunta sa daan

It was about 5 in the afternoon and i was still thinking kung anong food ang dadalhin ko sa kanila, "Ano bang favorite food ni nanay?", I asked him, yung favorite food nalang ni nanay to make her happy

"Kahit ano", he replied na nagpalito sakin, "May pagkain bang kahit ano?", Pamilosopo ko sa kanya, yun nalang sana yung basehan sa pag pili ng dadalhing food pero 'kahit ano' daw

"Wala pa akong naisip na pagkain para sa dinner mamaya", i told him my problem so that he can help me and give recommendations, nandito pa naman yung pera sa wallet ko

I can buy almost anything pero wala parin akong naisip, "Kumain nalang kaya tayo sa labas?", I recommended which he gives his reaction, "Ay huwag na, dun nalang tayo sa bahay kumain, ayaw kasi ni nanay na umalis ng gabi", he declined and i was starting to run out of ideas

"Wala bang paboritong pagkain si nanay?", I asked again kase wala talaga akong maisip, "Ah, meron, lechon manok", he said and finally! The problem is solved!

"Meron pala eh", naiinis kong tono sa kanya habang naglalakad, hindi muna kami umuwi sa kanila dahil bibili muna kami ng lechon manok, so, sumakay kami ng tricycle, at pumila sa pinakadabest lechon manok in town! Chooks to go!

I didn't have any time to open my phone and post some pictures of us kasi i was too busy, i wanna keep this life and friendship lowkey for now, masyadong noisy and toxic ang social media for people like them, nobody will ever know this, except mom and Jeff, our friendship is like a secret

Jade and Fretche didn't know how many times we've met and see each other, it's not a secret actually, but it's private

The sun was about to set and the evening was about to come when we arrived at their house by riding a tricycle, "Halika na, hinihintay na tayo ni nanay", his cheerful voice spreads as we get off from the tricycle, finally!

For the second time around ay nakabalik na rin ako sa bahay nila, it won't fade away from my mind the moment nung pinatuloy nila ako sa kanilang maliit na tahanan, welcomed me with open arms and a warm smile, and natulog dito for two days

Nasa pintuan na kami, Pedro carrying the lechon manok on his hand while he opens the door with the other one, "Ma, nandito na po kami", he calmly greets her as we entered the door, she was at the kitchen when we heard her greeting us

"Sakto ang pagdating nyo, malapit nang maluto ang kanin", sabi niya habang nagmano si Pedro sa kanya at ako na naman susunod dun pero niyakap ako ng mahigpit ni nanay

"Salamat talaga hija at naisip mo din kami", her humility made her so mature and i can feel her love, makes my heart happy inside

"Gusto ko lang po magpasalamat sa inyo, sa pagpapatuloy at pag-aalaga nyo po sakin", my heartfelt gratitude to her, this is one of the reasons kung bakit gusto kong mag dinner dito para rin makapagpasalamat sa kabutihang ginawa nila sakin
