Chapter 34

Jenice Claire's POV

We spend the day together with Pedro and as we are having fun, it was time to go back to the hospital, hapon na at palubog na ang araw sa kalangitan, kailangan na namin bumalik dun dahil oras ko na ang bantayan si Jeff

Uuwi na si mommy sa bahay at magpapahinga dahil may inaasikaso siyang business habang nasa loob lang ng house, like it's a work from home set up

Nasa hospital na kami ni Pedro, hindi muna siya umuwi dahil magpapaalam pa daw siya kay Jeff, sakay namin ang car na minamaneho ni manong driver at naka park na ang sasakyan

"Hintayin nyo lang po si mommy manong driver ha?", I requested to him as he nods his head looking at us na bumababa na sa sasakyan

"Sige po maam", he responds as we are walking pabalik na sa hospital, pumasok ng ilang hallway at nakita ang ibang mga pasyente dito

It's just a small public hospital with high quality healthcare, and yung mga nurse at doctors ay mababait, patient and alert sa pag-aalaga ng mga pasyente, i remember back those times where daddy stayed here dahil sa sakit niya for a few months, four years ago

Those memories here I won't forget, may happiness and there the sadness that haunts me whenever i visit here i can still remember the pain, i can still remember kung saang ward or room na confine si daddy and i used to remember the times kung saan ako palagi naglalakad

Halos kabisado ko na ang buong hospital na ito and there were only minor changes kumpara sa lugar noong four years ago

Mom should be waiting for me inside sa ward kung nasaan si Jeff habang naglalakad na kami hanggang sa makaabot na dito, nasa door pa rin kami and i can see mom sitting at the sofa through the rectangular window of the door, binuksan na namin ito at nakita namin si mom, si Jeff na tulog pa rin at si Yaya na nakaupo

"Mom", i called to her as i smile at pumasok na kami ni Pedro sa ward, "Magandang hapon po tita", he greets her habang lumalapit na ako kay mom at niyakap siya, i love hugging people, lalo na si mom

"Honey", she calls me habang niyayakap siya at pagkatapos ng ilang segundo ay kumalas na kami, "Nakapagpahinga ka ba?", She asks with calmness and smiles when she glanced at Pedro for a second

"Yes mom, nakapagpahinga na ako, sige na mom kami na ang bahala dito, it's time for you to rest and go home", i offered to here since she has been staying here inside this room for a day watching over Jeff kung kailan ba ito gigising

She's calm and patient, that's mom and I'm so lucky and blessed to have her in my life, "Aalis ba si Pedro?", She asked and Pedro overheard our conversation, i looked at him as he answers

"Hindi po ako aalis tita", His answer gave mom a sigh of relief since she planned on something, "Good, I'll bring yaya with me, babalik siya dito for your dinner", she announces and which gave us a responsibility to look after Jeff dahil aalis silang dalawa ni yaya at magluluto para sa dinner namin

It will be good, but still kailangan pa ding umuwi ni Pedro sa bahay nila and i think he'll go home kapag bumalik na si yaya, the hospital here is just normal, walang cafeteria para maka-order ng food that's why we choose na magluto nalang sa bahay at dalhin ang pagkain dito sa hospital kahit may mga tindahan naman dito ng pagkain sa tapat nito

"Goodbye mom", i greeted her goodbye kasama si yaya dahil nasa pintuan na sila at aalis na sila para bumalik sa bahay, "Mag-iingat po kayo tita", Pedro prays for their safety as they left the ward in peace, so kami na naman ni Pedro dito sa loob ng ward, sa harap ni Jeff na natutulog pa rin
