You knew this was a bad idea to begin with. You love Steve, a lot. But his best friends girl, Natasha Romanoff, has been your competition on the ice since forever. Clearly that goes past the rink as well.
So when Steve asked you to join their little get together, you were hesitant but you went. To their favourite diner to just hang out.
You're used to the dirty looks from other girls when you enter the hall, you're used to the nasty words thrown your way when you step off of the ice after a perfect routine. That doesn't mean however hat you need them off rink as well.
'So Y/n, are you excited for this weekends competition?' Bucky asks, earning a glare from Natasha.
'Yeah I am... I've got a great routine ready...' you smile politely at Bucky.
'Perfect as always...' Natasha grumbles. 'Can't believe you were allowed to go out... aren't your parents strict?' She snorts.
'I'm excited to see who wins!' Wanda excitedly breaks the tension. I know the both of you have amazing skills! Pretty sure none of the boys can do the same on their skates.'
'That's because our skates are not designed to figure skate darling..' Vision chuckles.
'Maybe I should swap your skates with Steve's!' Natasha laughs dramatically. 'Then we wouldn't have to watch some boring routine!'
'Or maybe you'd like to do it just so you can have an actual chance of winning...it was nice seeing you but I'm gonna go, sorry Steve..' you slide out of your seat and rush outside while hearing Natasha laugh behind you.
