Song: Steve Lacy - dark red.
Imagine: you're Tony's daughter and dating Bucky, Tony doesn't believe Bucky is worthy of you, Bucky -without realising- proves him wrong.
Warnings: angst, fluff, Tony being a dad.
This is a long one!

Your father was an absolute ass. You say that in the nicest way possible.
All your life you've been his little girl. His reason to get out of bed and his reason to be the hero the world needs every now and again. And if there's one thing he really hates about you being his little girl, is that there's always the possibility of a boy sweeping you off of your feet.
He cannot handle that. Not in the slightest.
It started out cute, you just found him a little overprotective, but then when he found out you and Bucky were getting a little close, he somehow got worse.
Always picking fights with him about him not being good enough for you, or just purposely trying to be an asshole to Bucky. Maybe he's trying to scare him off? Either way it's annoying.
Breakfast, the ticking time-bomb for everyone with the last name Stark, mornings are the most hated part of the day.
Bucky knows that it's best to leave you be in the morning, to let you go at your own pace. You also like to cuddle up to him for as long as possible, he lets you. He would let you do anything.
Bucky puts the glass of your favourite juice down and gives you a kiss on the head. And oh of that doesn't trigger Tony.
He can't wrap his head around the fact that you willingly would date someone like Bucky. The one who killed your grandparents. So he sits there, knuckles turning white when you give Bucky a sweet smile.
Your smile falters when you glance at your father. He seems aggravated, scratch that he seems infuriated. It's like steam is coming from his ears.
'What is going on dad?' You ask a bit annoyed.
'I just can't understand this...' he motions between you and Bucky.
'Here we go again...' you hear Bucky mutter under his breath.
'I'm not in the mood for this, so I'm going to say this once, I won't stop loving him just because it bothers you, so either deal with it or just don't look...'
'How can you? After he killed-'
'Stop! Just stop! It wasn't him!' You argue back, you guess you are in the mood to argue after all.
But Bucky isn't, it hurts him that you have to argue with Tony just because he loves you. It hurts that Tony still sees him and the soldier as the same person. He was but still, he couldn't control himself.
The arguing makes him doubt himself and you. It makes him doubt if you are going to stay by his side like you said, the arguing has got to make you tired someday right?
That's why he now decides to walk out and cool off. He doesn't want any of the hurt or anger on his side to end up on your plate.
'Buck?' You ask but he ignores it. He keeps on walking.
When he is out of sight you shoot Tony a dirty glare. 'I'm just looking out for you-'
