Song: PASTEL GHOST - Silhouettes
Warnings: gore, blood, violence, fluff, angst. And revelations......

He wasn't lying. You were just trying to get a reaction out of him and it completely backfired.
You're just so incredibly angry at everyone and everything that you're directing it at the wrong people, you never understood why people tell others to let everything go before you snap at the wrong person, until tonight.
He's in love with you. Even after all this time. What does that even mean? After all this time... how long is he even implying? Even if he still is, then why wouldn't he say something?
You sit at the breakfast table, you push the food around on your plate while your mind tries to reconstruct whatever Bucky meant with his words.
His body drops to the floor, his mouth agape and his eyes now distant. One trail of blood seeps from the bullet hole right between his eyes.
'You'll never find him...' Dr. Engels voice wavers, he's trying to get under your skin.
'And when you do you won't remember him... or he won't remember you... maybe both...'
'James...' it leaves your lips with a small breath.
'Good luck getting him back.. my death won't solve anything though...you'll need me-'
'I'll cross that bridge when I get there.. luckily you trained me well enough to survive on my own...'
'It was always lovely to see you two... I will die peacefully knowing you'll never experience it again...' He grins with his crooked teeth. 'That serum we administered.. it takes a few days for it to reach the level we want.. which is erase everything...'
It doesn't take long for you to empty the magazine right in his body. His head falls forwards and blood seeps from his mouth.
You hiss and reach for your head as the memory comes to an end.
'Another memory?' Steve asks.
You give him a nod before letting out a sigh and opening your eyes again after having scrunched them to try and regulate the pain a little.
'It's the scientist.. he told me I wouldn't be able to remember anything after I escaped.. he was right.. after I shot him I..think I escaped and forgot everything...'
'If you want I could see what I can do with that kind of yours.. I could try to make them less painful-'
'Wanda darling, you know what the doctors said..' Vis replies to her.
'Luckily you're remembering more and more..' Natasha smiles as she lays a hand on your shoulder.
You give her a small smile as she sits down next to you.'You'll get through it... Bucky did too...' she says and at the mention of his name your face falls into this sour expression.
'Yeah whatever...' you huff.
'What's with the sour mood suddenly?' Steve asks and at that moment Bucky walks in. His mood matching yours perfectly.
He looks awful, eyes red rimmed and dull looking. You recognize that look... wait what?
Your eyes go wide with realization, you recognize something about him. You stare at him and he huffs before walking right past you towards the breakfast bar.
'What's going on between you two?' Steve asks slightly annoyed.
'Nothing.' You and Bucky both snap at the same time.
