Eternals pt. 2 ❤️‍🔥 SESTRA (spoilers) (drabble)

'So.. you're all cosmic beings... send here to rid the earth of those deviants and you're waiting to be send back to Olympia?' Your hands curl around the hot mug, warming your cold hands.

'Yes...' Sersi replies.

'And the earthquake? Does that have anything to do with you?' Bucky asks.

'We don't know, it could have something to do with us.. we're not sure yet...'

You nod at Sersi and take a sip of your tea. You can sense some tension but it's not between you and the girls. It's definitely between Ikaris, Bucky and Dane. It makes you roll your eyes at Bucky. Always this dick measuring contest between attractive males and taking their women and all that crap.

'I am literally married to you Bucky, stop it..'  it's like a faint whisper in his head but clearly he doesn't want to listen.

You know he likes to stare at people to intimidate them, but this is like a chihuahua trying to intimidate a Rottweiler. The same goes with Dane and Ikaris.

You don't really know anything about Sersi yet but you have a feeling there's some history between her and Ikaris, and that Dane isn't responding to it very well. Men...

'So how many are there? Of you?' You ask her.

'Well Lets see... we have Ajak, Phastos, Makkari, Druig, Gilgamesh, Thena, Kingo and then there's us three, so 10.. and we live scattered all across the globe...'

'Wow... and every one of you has a different power?'

'Yes...'

'But apparently you don't have to be an Eternal to be powerful...' Ikaris cuts in, you feel Bucky's energy get tense and so does his body.

You move your hand under the table and set it on his lap. Not in a sexual way, it's more like a reassuring way, and he relaxes into your touch immediately.

'I'm sure you've seen a lot of people like me... mutants... well I'm not really a mutant, I'm more of a witch... one of the most powerful around..' you clear it up to Ikaris who nods.

'You should come with us! You could meet the others, we need to fetch them anyway...'

Bucky glances down at you, the internal struggle you must have right now.. Your head turns to watch Bucky. Your eyes are pleading for him to say something, anything. Your heart is too good. He sometimes resents you for that.

He knows you won't be able to truly rest when there's danger around when you can help reduce that danger. He also knows he won't be able to truly stop you.

'Where should we go then?' He asks, he can see the relief washing over you then.

You head lulls from side to side, indicating to Bucky that you're either sleeping, or having some sort of vision. You've been having a lot of them lately.

Strange mentioned it could be from the child, mother often tend to have more vivid dreams while pregnant with their child. Bucky thinks something else is going on.

It's understandable you're tired, you and Bucky got pulled into this. Then had to go on this long journey, only to find that the eternal you'd come here for, has been attacked by a deviant.

Something happened however when you touched the Eternal called Ajak. There was this spark, it tired you out immediately which Bucky found quite strange.

A soft huff leaving your lips catches his attention. Your eyelids move rapidly and so do your eyes underneath. It's like they're darting everywhere. Your brows furrow even more.

Your hands wind themselves into tight fists before they slump again.

'What's going on with her?' Sersi stands next to Bucky.

'I don't know, we figured it has something to do with the baby, but now I'm not sure...' he sighs. 'It can't be a coincidence.. you showing up and then those dreams...' He leans against the doorway while his fingers press on the bridge of his nose.

'I'm sorry that we dragged you into this...'

'She's wouldn't be able to leave it be anyway... I'm sorry for your loss.. from what Sprite showed me, Ajak was a good woman...'

'She was... she was the glue that kept us together all those years...'

Bucky's mind wanders back to the person he once considered the glue keeping everyone together as well. He understands the pain of having that person ripped away from you.

Sersi turns her head towards the door. She stares at it while a frown forms.

'What is it?' Bucky asks, in the meantime your movement only gets more and more.

'I don't know, I'll go check..' Sersi walks away from him just as you make a noise from the back of your throat.

'Y/n..' he rushes to your side, he grabs your hand while the purple hue around you only grows stronger.

More sounds leave your body, they sound pained. Until your eyes open and you slump further into the chair.

Your head turns to Bucky, when your eyes meet his he sees the concern swirling in them. 'What happened?' His voice is stern and soft at the same time. The tone he knows will make you get back to reality.

'Memory... Ajak's memory, I think...'

'What do you mean?' He asks immediately after, you can't answer right away. You're still breathing pretty hard.

'I saw her die...' you keep your voice as low as possible. 'Its strange though, she wasn't alone..' you speak.

'Then who was with her?'

Before you can even answer that question, the Eternals walk in again, Sersi looks a bit distraught. 'What happened, are you okay?' You ask her.

'She.. Ajak gave me her sphere.. I can now communicate with Arishem...'

'Well we are not sure if it's Arishem..' Ikaris says, it makes you tense up.

'Then what else can it be?' Bucky asks helping you stand up.

'Mahd Wy'ry...' he answers. 'It's a demon in the mind..'

The longer your intricate stare crosses him, the tender he gets. You know something that he doesn't want you to know.

You saw him, he was with Ajak in her final moments. Why didn't he do something against those deviants, he claims and has shown to be powerful enough. He could've prevented them from killing her.

'We should go to find Kingo first...' Sprite suggests.

You glance at Bucky, you don't even need to communicate for him to know something is wrong.

"We need to go with them, we need to protect Sprite and Sersi..."

He gives you a court nod before turning back to the rest, he leaves it be for now but you'll both keep and eye on the man powerful enough to kill everyone on sight.

Sersi and Sprite won't be strong enough to stop him, but you might.
